I went on a bit of a mission today (told you I was bored!) and cooked a bolognese for tonight, then cooked a shepherds pie (both sauces etc from scratch ).

THEN! I went and bought 3 new cookbooks, felt all excited that I was going to be the next Jamie Oliver / Delia Smith / Nigella Lawson and got home and felt too bored of the kitchen.

So. Erm. Anyone want to buy a cookbook?

Ps: I haven't even heard if I won the pasty competition either so pfffffft!

Lisa Cooney, World Cancer Research Fund: Scientific evidence links "processed meats to an increase in bowel cancer risk"

Parents have been urged not to put ham and other processed meat into their children's lunchboxes to avoid them developing a cancer risk later in life.

The World Cancer Research Fund said parents should act now to stop their children developing a taste for smoked, salted or cured meats.

I am entering a pasty-making (soft small pie for those who don't know) competition to design a new pasty.

I am stuck between two choices:

1) Spicy meatball pasty, with a tomato/herb/garlic sauce(with chopped mushrooms and green peppers and hint of cayenne)

2) The 'red' pasty: Sweet potato and sweet red pepper, with red leceicester cheese and red onion.

Which one will you vote for??? I cannot make up my mind!!!

Please cast your votes asap!! I need help deciding!
