Oh Grouse, that Broccoli ice-cream sounds like you get cream and wind at the same time. TRY THIS FOR SIZE 294124

Fair enough Grouse. I wonder if Heston Blumental will come out with his own versions ?

I'm not sure that will be particularly pleasant TRY THIS FOR SIZE 294124

heston blumenthal would probably do phish food with real fish or something
i am sure with a name like blumenthal his family must be jewish
but snail porridge is treyf on sooooo many levels, you'd be better off with a bacon roll or something TRY THIS FOR SIZE 294124

Yes Grouse a bacon sarny or my favourite a fried egg sandwich would be preferable. TRY THIS FOR SIZE 294124

he was on a show once, i forget the name of it,
looking for new recipes that you could make with food you get for free.
now i would have had a nice summer pudding with brambles or something
but they were trying to cook slugs, big yellow ones
well, they tried boiling them, grilling them and baking them
and any way they were bitter and horrible.
so they tried filleting them and frying the fillets and they were still horrible.
so then they gutted them and stuffed then with some stuff that you would use to stuff peppers or mushrooms, couscous or cooked rice and stuff, and baked them
it took ages to gut out the slug, stuff it and bake it, and at the end of it there was not even a mouthful, not even enough to feed another slug
and it STILL tasted horrible
so i think at that point it became obvious that human beings are not designed to consume slugs.

Yuk! slugs - I agree with you TFG - we are not really supposed to eat them.

Especially in England - I know there are people who are keen on French slugs and they are edible. If they had used their brains they would have realised that English slugs are different - exactly what they found out. Bit of a waste of a program.
