LLOYDS OF LONDON TO BID FOR LLOYDS BANK SALES.

What a refreshing bit of News .... I just watched the Chairman of Lloyds of London being interviewed and their proposed bid for the Purchase of the Lloyds Banks coming up for Auction. His proposal is to turn them into Retail Banks only where the concerns of the Customer are met and their savings will
not be jeopardised by Investment Banking. He says he wants customers to be able to meet with the Managers of the Banks to discuss their accounts etc,
I hope Lloyds of London"s bid succeeds.

Well I hope so too - it might do something beneficial for my Lloyds Banking Shareholding. Just when I thought it safe to dip my toes back into the murky waters of the Stock Market, they have gently slipped down, and down, and down.

Hi TEIN. For Mervyn King to ask the Banks to ensure they are properly insured is an ominous sign. Too many Economists are saying Greece will default so better now than later, if you have any spare cash, buy Gold .

It is going to take Years for these Bank debts to be paid off and I hope to God lessons will be learned and the FSA does it"s job monitoring and the Government make it a Law that Retail Banking be seperate from HedgeFunds, subprime Mortgages, Investment Banking and all the other gambling
with other peoples money the Banks did.

When I were a lad, my Parents wanted me to be a Bank Manager.

Those were the days when they actually spoke to clients in person and was reminiscent of the Capt. Mainwaring era.

I thought it would be too staid and boring.
