The poor child has the same sad, tired, defeated look of 'Baby P' and others I've seen pictured over the years.

This does not look good at all and the police seem to know it.

The image first shown at 1.59 with what appear to be bruises on the left side of her face is very disturbing. However, the actions of the mother in driving around looking for her daughter before she called the police are more reasonable than those of another mother who shall remain nameless!

That child is dead I'm afraid.

She was probably abused most off her life, look at her face.

The police have not enough evidence against the family and are just sitting there in the hope a body will be found.

America is a huge country, she could be buried anywhere....

That's certainly how it looks. The case seems so similar to that of Kiesha Abrahams whose body was eventually found.

Let's hope that she is found and Lisa Irwin too.

Lisa irwins mother was probably so drunk she doesn't remember what happened to her child.

The mother probably or could off had the baby in bed and rolled over onto her and the baby fell out off bed...cadaver scent was found on the floor near the parents bed.....if she remembers what happened why not just tell the truth instead off faking an abduction.

As for Aaliyah....it's written all over the child's face what happened to her.....black eyes, no teeth, we can see the bruises on her face god knows where else she had them under her clothes....that child had a beating that went too far and the police know that but they need a cast iron case to convict.....I don't know if cadaver dogs were used but I assume if they did and nothing was found in the house so she was either injured in the house and taken elsewhere and died or just killed somewhere else in rage....poor little baby, what a miserable life she had.

Look at the Hayleigh Cummings case....that is a complex case.....supposedly abducted....some say she was murdered and some say close family are hiding her but ALL the family seem to be sticking together for some reason......if she is alive and living with someone who loves and cares for her that's good but if she is dead for god sake give up the body and let the little girl have a decent burial.

I'd barely heard of the Cummings case. Yet another "disappeared from her bedroom" scenario with her father at work and a very young girlfriend supposedly in charge.

Some familiar-sounding elements - parents living it up soon after the child disappeared and telling packs of lies.

Re: Another "abduction"?? - Aaliyah Lunsford

Post  kitti on Mon 24 Sep - 10:36

This is the 32nd case, and it will be shown Tuesday night on HLN.

It's been more than two years since 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings was last seen alive in Satsuma, Florida. Since then, her family has gone through a marriage, a divorce and drug arrests, but there is still no sign of the little girl who was last seen by her babysitter-turned-stepmother, Misty Croslin, on February 9, 2009.

At the time Haleigh went missing, Croslin was living in the family's mobile home with her then-boyfriend, Ronald Cummings, Haleigh and her 4-year-old brother. Croslin told police that Haleigh was snatched from the trailer in middle of the night while she slept.

Investigators have said physical evidence contradicts Croslin's account of the events that night but have stopped short of charging her in the girl's death. Today, Croslin is in prison after being sentenced to 25 years on drug-related charges involving the trafficking of prescription narcotics, including oxycodone and hydrocodone. She continues to maintain her innocence. Haleigh's father will serve 15 years in prison and was fined $250,000 for selling prescription drugs. The two married after Haleigh's disappearance and divorced soon afterward.

Meanwhile, police continue to search for clues in Haleigh's disappearance.

Haleigh Cummings Case – Shocker regarding Haleigh’s mother
FEBRUARY 10, 2012 |  BY RADIO  |  BLOG
When things could not get any more bizarre in the Haleigh Cummings Case – in rolls a newspaper stating that the mother of Haleigh Cummings is living with the paternal grandmother of her oldest two children – yes, Ronald Cummings’ mother, Teresa Neves!!

No doubt a lower blow than this could not have been delivered to the Crystalites – those who have gone about the internet proclaiming the Sainthood of Crystal Sheffiled and how she was absolutely terrified of the Cummings family!!

Well, I guess when it comes to push or shove – Crystal Sheffield is more comfortable with the Cummings family than her own. Rumors had been swirling for months she was unhappy with the the squalid living arrangements offered with her mother and step-father. Boom-a-chucka and out of there!!

We can now put to rest all those things so many blogged, including myself – duh, (is there a country song titled ‘how stupid do I feel right now’) about how terrified CS was of the Cummings family and oh how terrible terrible they had treated her! When the bottom dropped out for her – she headed straight for her true loves family – fuck old Chad Griffis and his family! LOL!!

I for one hope CS does not end up with another man and having yet another child or children! Maybe there are other and safer choices available to her she can make!! And the gossip spins on.

Can’t wait to see how Marie Griffis, Crystal’s mother, will spin this gigantic mess!! LOL!!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (CBS) The search for Haleigh Cummings, who went missing over a year ago from her father's home in Satsuma, Fla., is still going on in earnest at the St. John's River in northeast Florida, and news reports say that two cinder blocks have been recovered, bolstering the sheriff's decision to re-classify the once missing-persons case as a murder.

Haleigh's former step-mother, Misty Croslin, was brought to the search area April 13 in handcuffs to talk with investigators on the scene, although Sheriff Jeff Hardy declined to say why Croslin was brought there.

Croslin, and Haleigh's father Ronald Cummings, were arrested in January on drug trafficking charges and remain in custody.

Croslin's grandmother says that Croslin spoke to her about Haleigh's disappearance and provided details about what may have happened that night, according to local station WJXT. Flora Hollars said she spoke to Croslin on Thursday and urged her granddaughter to come clean.

She said they "TIED HALEIGH UP WITH A YELLOW ROPE and TIED A BRICK BLOCK TO THE ROPE and DROPPED HER into the ST JOHNS RIVER" Hollars told WJXT.
Hollars says the search was initiated by information given by her grandson Hank Croslin, who was arrested with Misty Croslin and Cummings in January, according to CBS affiliate WTEV.

Sheriff Hardy said in a press conference that no one has been arrested for the crime, but investigators are "working on building a case," and that people are beginning to cooperate.

Misty Croslin, the last person to see Haleigh the night she vanished, has been acting more calm and, "I think she's coming to realize she's in trouble," Sheriff Hardy told reporters.

The cinder blocks, along with the other "items" that have been recovered in the search, have been sent out for testing but investigators declined to say if yellow rope was among the items.

Re: Another "abduction"?? - Aaliyah Lunsford

From the Huffingon Post story:

"It just seems like everybody's forgotten her," said Aliayah's great-aunt Vickie Bowen, "but we're never going to forget."

In the year since Aliayah disappeared from her family's rented house in the Bendale section of Lewis County, Bowen has concluded the girl is probably dead, though she avoids using the word.

"But we still need to know. We need that closure," Bowen said. "We need to take care of her."

What is different about this family's reaction and that of the McCanns? This family admits that Aliayah is probably dead even though they don't want to think about it. This is what any parents of a truly missing child would fear. Closure becomes what these parents seek, not grasping at straws. Something has always been suspicious about the McCanns and thier family's insistence that Madeleine is alive, despite the odds not being in her favor every hour that passes since she went missing.

Sadly, I also believe that this poor child is dead. The more of these cases that come to light, just shows how easy it can be to make a small body disappear and to literally get away with murder. The Caylee Anthony case also shows how difficult these cases can be to prosecute even with a body.

I will never understand why Anthony, who admitted hiding the body , was never charged with at least abusing a corpse.

Isabel Celis Updates: False Sightings and Speculation
June 01, 2012 04:35 PM EDT
comments: 5
Six-year-old Isabel Celis was allegedly spotted in San Diego this week, but police in Tucson claim that these sightings are absolutely false. What would lead them to make such a definite and public claim? Do they have evidence that would lead them to believe any sightings of the missing Tucson girl are falsified? Possibly, since the 500+ pages of police reports released indicate that the child suffered some kind of attack in the home, whether or not she was truly "abducted."

When Isabel Celis was reported missing on the morning of April 20, 2012, officers discovered what looked like blood on the child's floor as well as items of interest in a non-operational vehicle on the family's property. Among the apparently bloodstained items were a pillow, a hat and a shower curtain. It is now entering the second month of the child's disappearance and there haven't been many new updates in the case aside from this latest false sighting.

"Sightings" are normal in just about any high-profile case of this type. People possess active imaginations and sometimes the public can become entrapped in a sort of mass-hysteria that involves these stories. For example, when baby Lisa Irwin vanished from Kansas City, Missouri, sightings of blonde babies were reported from one end of the country to the other—as if she is the only blue-eyed blonde haired baby in the world! In fact, one family was literally terrorized by people in their town simply because her child was similar in appearance to the missing infant. People still claim to see Madeleine McCann all over the world even though there is absolutely no evidence that the child was ever abducted, and plenty of evidence indicating that the child died in her home before being removed somehow.

The same can be said for Isabel Celis, but it's interesting to see the TPD completely disregard these so-called sightings. Even though these types of sightings are more-often-than-not false, it's still important to investigate any and all possibilities when it comes to finding a missing person. There is no body, so you can't be 100% sure that the missing person is dead, even when there is blood evidence or forensic evidence that indicates death. Nonetheless, it appears that the detectives on this case seem to have an idea of what happened and how—otherwise they would not be disregarding a sighting that is only a couple of hours west of her last known location.
