Missing 10 month-old Lisa Irwin, Kansas City, Missouri

Anyone with information on Lisa Irwin's disappearance is urged to
call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.

Story details up to 6th
October 2011

Ten
month-old Lisa Irwin was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Monday 3rd October when her
mother, Deborah Bradley, checked on her in her cot. Her father, Jeremy Irwin,
discovered her missing about five hours later, when he got home from a
late-night shift at work.

Police
have said they are investigating the possibility that someone entered the home
through a front window and snatched Lisa, but they have not indicated whether
there is any sign of forced entry. According to KMBC's Micheal Mahoney, the
location of the home is not a place where you can get to by accident. The street
is on a windy complex of roads, and he reported that you really have to know
where you're going to get to the house.

Lisa
has blue eyes and blonde hair, is 30 inches tall and weighs around 28 pounds.
She was last seen wearing purple shorts and a purple shirt with pictures of
white kittens. Police say she has two bottom teeth, a small bug bite under her
left ear and a beauty mark on her right thigh. She also has a cold with a
cough.

Police interviewed Lisa's parents at 10:30am Tuesday, 4th October, but did
not take them into custody. Both were described as cooperative. Capt. Steve
Young said investigators had no indication that some type of domestic or
relationship dispute between the parents was involved. Two young brothers also
were at home in a separate bedroom when Lisa disappeared, but the boys were
unharmed.
Earlier today, FBI agents clad in white, plastic suits used search dogs as
they went into the family's home, a light-green ranch-style home in a cozy
neighborhood along a winding street. Young said the suits were to hide the
agents' scent from the dogs so they could get original scents of the girl.
Law enforcement officers appeared to be canvassing neighbours next door and
across the street, coming in and out of their homes and congregating in their
front yards. Police also scoured roads, a nearby apartment complex and a wooded
area on at least four all-terrain vehicles.
Capt. Steve
Young
said investigators have no new leads despite repeated searches of
nearby woods and homes.

"Everything
we've thought of doing we've probably done two or three times," he said. "Over
300 law enforcement officers have been involved. They've walked a wooded area
three times in shoulder-to-shoulder searches, taken dogs in three times —
different dogs each time — and none of those led us anywhere."

He
said investigators also have done 300 consensual knock-and-talks, in which
officers knocked on doors and asked if they could search the homes. Young said
dozens of tips have come in, but many have produced nothing.

Kansas
City police spokesman Darin
Snapp
said a report that a neighbour saw a man in the neighbourhood carrying
a baby overnight Tuesday "went nowhere."

Earlier today, Jeremy Irwin and Deborah
Bradley
, speaking to the media for the first time since their daughter Lisa
went missing, asked the public to call police with even the smallest piece of
information.
"Please drop her off anywhere," Jeremy
Irwin
said, "We don't care. Somewhere safe so she can come home."

Clutching
a purple Barney doll that presumably belonged to her daughter, Bradley tearfully
begged for the child's return, saying: "We just want our baby back." The couple
promised they'd ask no questions.

Anyone with information on Lisa Irwin's disappearance is urged to
call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.

Missing Baby's Parents: 'Please Bring Her Home'

10:52am UK, Thursday October 06, 2011
The parents of a missing 10-month-old baby who disappeared from her bed have made an emotional appeal for her return.

Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley, from Kansas City, begged that their daughter Lisa Irwin be dropped off somewhere safe, with no questions asked.

The child was last seen at around 10.30pm on Monday, when she was put to bed by her mother.

Her father, an electrician, discovered she was missing when he returned home at around 3.30am from a late shift at work.

Her mother Deborah told reporters: "Please just bring her home, our two other boys are waiting for her.

"Please just drop her off anywhere, we don't care, just somewhere safe where she can come home."

Police have said they are looking into the possibility that Lisa may have been snatched from her bed by someone entering the house through an open window.

They added that it appeared a window at the house may have been tampered with.

Police have searched the family home, but have stressed the parents are not considered suspects.

They have also combed a nearby wooded area and spoken to neighbours.

Captain Steve Young, of Kansas City police, said the parents had been interviewed, but were not in custody.

"They were co-operative, but at this point we have nothing new to go on," he added.

Lisa is described as having blue eyes and blonde hair.

She is 30 inches tall, weighs around 28lbs (12.7kg) and was wearing purple shorts and a purple top with white kittens on it at the time of her disappearance.

----

Heartbreaking. I hope Lisa is found safe very soon and that this doesn't turn out to be suspicious.

Post  jeanmonroe Thu 6 Oct - 15:28

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/44798732/ns/today-today_people/

>> reporter: ann, good morning to you. the mystery just keeps deepening here in kansas city , missouri . nbc news has learned that when jeremy irwin , lisa irwin 's father, returned home monday night/tuesday morning he found not just his daughter missing from her crib, he also found three cell phones were missing from the family's home. last night investigators scanned the area. they canvassed it, stopping every car that came through here looking for any evidence of their missing daughter. at the same time, jeremy irwin met with federal authorities providing the names of nine individuals that the family thought may have had something to do with their daughter's abduction. so far, no suspects and no strong leads. as investigators re-examined the irwin family home, a tearful public plea for the distraught parents of 10-month-old baby lisa .

>> reporter: deborah bradley and jeremy irwin , mom holding her daughter's favorite stuffed animal , begged whoever has lisa to return her safely.

>> reporter: with the irwin family's consent investigators in sterile suits to avoid contaminating the scene again searched the home. one focal point -- this window without a screen. law enforcement officials appear baffled at who could have climbed into the home, walked down the hall, snatched the baby, and then slipped out. late wednesday i spoke to jeremy irwin 's parents, baby lisa 's grandparents.
>> she's a beautiful baby. she's full of life, laughter, and love.
>> reporter: then i asked a difficult question that haunts every missing child case. is there any way in the world that your son or your daughter-in-law could have had anything to do with this?
>> absolutely not. they're kind, loving, wonderful parents. and that baby is everything to them.

>> and i know the detectives have been at your home and they've taken away bags of what i understand are considered evidence. do you know what they're looking for, what they took from your home?
>> no. we don't have any idea.
>> you know, you heard in this story that we just ran that in addition to the pain of missing your daughter, you're also being asked by police some tough questions because in their effort they sort of need to leave no stone unturned, so what do you have to say about their effort to even question you about whether you know something about your daughter's disappearance? jeremy , do you want to take that question?
>> we were down at the police station for most of the day the other day and just going over everything and making sure that we've got all the information that we have and giving them everything we can time and time again, so hopefully something can bring her home.
>> do you want to say anything about this question that they're asking even you about whether you had anything to do with your daughter's disappearance?
>> no, obviously we don't know where she is or who took her. we just need her back.

A window without a screen has drawn scrutiny as a possible entry point, but investigators are puzzled about how someone could have entered through the window, walked all the way down the hall, snatched the baby and slipped out undetected.
___________________________________________

I couldn't help noticing how Sky FORGOT to mention that the mother was holding her daughter's favorite stuffed animal when appealing.
And also how investigators appear BAFFLED and PUZZLED about the window part of the story.

ETA. If all true hope she ( baby) gets back home safely.

Post  Justiceforallkids Fri 7 Oct - 3:01

"The parents of a missing 10-month-old Missouri girl are no longer cooperating with authorities, and their claims that whoever took their daughter stole their cellphones hasn't produce any leads, police said Thursday night.

Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley, who said their daughter, Lisa, was snatched from her crib sometime Monday night or early Tuesday, had been cooperative since reporting her missing. But they changed course Thursday, Kansas City police spokesman Steve Young said.

"Tonight, they decided to stop talking to detectives, and I don't have to illustrate how that affects the investigation. That speaks for itself," he said.

He reiterated that investigators still have no suspects. A cousin of the baby's mother who has been acting as a spokesman for the family declined to comment to The Associated Press after Young's announcement Thursday evening http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/06/lisa-irwin-missing-parent_n_999333.html

I read about this case and apparently the Mother hadn"t checked on the baby for 5 hours so when the Dad came home and checked the baby was gone.

Don"t you think a 10 month old baby would cry for a feed after about 4 hours ? Apparently, where the Parents live it is a winding road which means it would be difficult for for neighbours to notice much .

These people obviously haven't read the abduction manual. What you need to do in the first couple of hours of the abduction is

1. telephone the TV companies
2. Arrange for a spokesperson ( they have one in the form of the cousin but need one with a little more clout)
3. Set up a fund. They have to say it is for searches but if they have a mortgage, credit card debts, car loan or any other debts to pay, then it is acceptable to "borrow" some of the fund money.
4. Don't answer any questions from the police. All the better if the police can put together 48 questions for you not to answer.
5. Arrange interview with the Pope ( if you are catholic) or other high up church leader for any other religious demonination.
6. Organise a trip. If you are in the USA then you should concentrate on the Americas. Europe can come at a later date if you feel that a sighting there needs you to ignore it.
7. If you have other children, do not be afraid of leaving them at every touch and turn. After all the abductor only wanted the one he took.
8. Resume any exercise regime you may have. No-one will think any the less of you, after all life goes on even if one of your children is missing.
9. Tell everyone you are devastated and cannot sleep or eat but look the picture of health.
10. Above all, do not let a little thing like a missing child affect you. SMILE AND LAUGH LIKE A DRAIN within hours of her going missing.
