What irrefuteable PROOF does he have of THAT?
If he ascerted that in a court of law that would be thrown out instantly as 'supposition'
He has absolutely no EVIDENCE that she was taken from her apartment by ANYONE, let alone a 'STRANGER'
Aren't the McCanns always bleating on about 'show us the evidence'?
WHERE is Redwoods' EVIDENCE to back up HIS statement?
Will Martin Runt ASK him THAT?
Thought not!

Andy Redwood has in one sentence said that the ENTIRE Portuguese Police force LIED about what THEY think happened.

Gut feeling here.....the mccanns used cameron and the met as the only way to see these 'files' is to ask for a review .

Didn't the Portuguese say a few months AGo that there WAS NO NEW EVIDENCE to reopen case yet here is redwood today saying there is...

My fear is that there is "they all lived happily ever after" on the way.

SY ask Portugal to re-open the case - at the same time telling them they were totally incompetent, missed a few hundred leads and there was an abduction all along.

Are Portugal likely to re-open on this basis ? If not, then SY tried their best, poor Kate and Gerry the bold mean Portugese people would not play ball and investigagte so case closed.

And they all lived happily ever after in Rothley Towers, in between jet setting around the world, raking in even more money because they have been so badly treated.

Time for mr amaral to spill the beans I think and to stop feeling sorry for those two....do unto others that do unto you...

Still, we've never had a full house at any point hitherto, so no change there.

I really think we should wait and see how this pans out. We want the case re-opened and let's hope we get it with this "new" information. Perhaps its just tactics? We can all play games when necessary. Think of the people asked to do press conferences for missing people or those murdered. Often there are other motives for doing these. I don't think is as cut and dry as many of you are thinking. I hope i'm right anyway.

And I don't in a million years think there are 37 officers on this case and as for saying the conclusion was she was abducted by a stranger and in the same sentence say.....there are 100,000 pages and we got through a third....it's like a judge saying...'oh ok, I've heard a quarter off the case, your guilty so piss off and we'll see you in fifty years time'....this isnt for real, surely!

I think the case is about to be re-opened and they don't want any speculation at this point. This is spin to cover up what is really happening behind the scenes. It is too ridiculous to be anything else. Why has the Panorama show been moved forward? Lets hope its because the case will be re-opened. Something must be happening in my opinion and we shouldn't panic just yet.

I read they have 195 leads so far. So if that's a quarter of the way through, there might be 800 leads by the end to be followed up. Wonder who is going to pay for that massive operation.

The beleaguered Portuguese, I should think. I think that Redwood is running out of money but knows that he's under enormous pressure to produce a result. So he's coming out with all this "alive or dead" bullcrap and "urging the Portuguese" to re-open it on the basis of that. He's hoping that the Portuguese will take up the mantle, come to a final conclusion and one way or another, he's exonerated. The Portuguese will be footing the bill.

precisely ithink its all getting a bit too hot for him, hogan howe was apparently a fund raiser for the McCs, wonder how many other Police Chiefs/officers etc were fund raisers for the McCs, we know Leicester police had a button for funds for them, so really any police who made a donation, raised funds or who has a connection to them should stand down on the grounds that their prior action indicated impartiality. jimo

If the case does get reopened in Portugal & Redwood has stated he & his fellow investigators believe that it was a stranger abduction then surely the Mccanns & tapas would have no qualms about a reconstruction...would be a smart move if this was a game of chess
