McCanns say the police let them down - They felt alone - Police Timeline shows differently!

The McCanns claimed the police did nothing...they felt alone...they wanted a 'Metropolitan type response'!

How dare they complain!

While researching for a video about the Portuguese Response I am putting the police timeline together from GNR and PJ statements (in progress)

This a very basic timeline of the police attendance times from statements that also included other officers not interviewed! I had to share.

(Keeping in mind the 40 minute time difference before they were called.)

Great work as usual. The problem is that the parents' complaints are targeted at a far wider audience and receive the media attention and support required to reach it. For a long time now the UK media have been reporting it as an accepted fact that the parents were 'let down' by the police and left alone for years to conduct their own 'search'.

1. The person "left alone" here was Madeleine.

2. Healy & McCann have not searched for her.

I have mentioned earlier on another thread that it's because TM are pro-active whereas we are re-active. But recently I think things are changing big time!

I'm doing my best!

I try to be 'our' voice...and in the case of proof against the accusations against the police response, it my 'bit' for Portugal.

I didn't take it that way at all...I missed adding the first line saying I agree with you

On the surface, because they have the advantage of media exposure, it may appear that they have everything covered but lets not forget that the issues that Kate DOESN'T cover in her book or in the media, are likely the issues that trouble them the most.

They lead, but it's like chess...we need to try to be at least one step ahead.

I am currently working on a 'reopening the case' video. Whats becoming apparent is they are very carefully trying to deny blame of the reconstruction....saying they would do it if they have to and if it helped in the search. Kate herself says it would help in the search to reopen the case, therefore if they did the reconstruction it would reopen the case and ultimately help the search for Madeleine....

By claiming they would do it, they are actually blaming the T7 for hindering the reconstruction and ultimately the search, so I am changing the focus of the video.

It may come across as the T7 being the 'bad guys' in this. They are used to the accusations of not helping the police with their enquiries, but how are they going to react if the T7 start getting blamed? They don't have a 'voice' in the media and it will be up to the McCanns to 'protect' them....by acknowledging the blame themselves?

I wonder if Kate addresses this very important issue in the epilogue.

If not, I think we should!

I think what you say is right - we don't know what direction they will take because they also are reacting to how much information is becoming known. So I think you read them correctly.
