@widowan

But SY surely are cutting the carp and getting back to basics - and undoubtedly have a sound working relationship with the Portuguese.

I didn't knock the PJ, and I'm not about to knock SY.

PS: I've never, ever seen an Advert on this Site - One does not have to if one does not wish to.

I commented earlier and really thought Steelmagnolia might be dead. It was when he mentioned that the Doctor was O.K. that I realised we had
not received any comments from him for a while.always worth reading.

Anyways, my belief is, if we cut all the cr@p there'd be nothing left, of the MM Affair, there IS nothing but cr@p.

SY has spent over 2M pounds of the people's money - surely if anyone should be doing detective work it's them, and if they can't find out what happened I doubt a blogger would have much luck at doing anything but what he is doing, which is look at what comes out of their own mouths and their own pens, and point out that they are lying... repeatedly.

I guess we can make of it what we will. He's not advertising on his blog or charging people to read it or be part of it. So he's not making money off the back of the child. Not like any site that has adverts, which in fact includes this one -not sure what the objection is to Blacksmith's contribution to this case?

No problem with that widowan,i basically agree with all you say and the bloggers help to keep the doubts about the case in public view. All i am saying is lets have it in plain language that the average person can understand.Any newcomers googling that piece of literature would not have a clue what was being said.

Hear, hear: Self-satisfied and obscure is not much use to those who don't "get it"; However worthy it may be when deciphered.

That's true... I liked his earlier stuff better, I think he is bored and amusing himself with the detective novel type stuff. But if it keeps him engaged I'll put up with it, I like his work.

I don't think there's anything wrong with us having ads either, it makes this possible to be here and have a place to discuss the case.

I also agree with all that.

As regards advertising that is just a financial necessity to help keep these sites going which is what we want. And as far as Blacksmiths 'musings' go i can cut him/her some slack as i agree the effort and belief is there and the early 'work' was definitely more readable.Maybe i'm just a bit thick !

hi Krisy22

My kids are on the other coast with my parents, but when I heard about the latest ambassador in the UK I had to come check in. It beggars belief.

I'm not depressed so much as just disheartened by the fact that this woman, this hard faced liar and her husband - who thinks it's up to him to get on telly and (when he's in Portugal to see if he can sue some money out of the one guy who tried to find his kid) say he is not going to go after the police for anything they haven't done, nono, he's far too fine a person for that, no looking back, he's there to cooperate, he's there to look ahead, and see what can be done to find Madeline - BULL!

It's always been about the CYA and the money for them, I don't see how anyone in a charity could think Kate's blank self entitled stare is something that will lend credibility to their cause.

They do mention Kerry Needham in their paperwork... not Kate ... but she's clearly a celebrity that'll get notoriety for them and any press is good I suppose, for a certain kind of person.

After reading all the comments to my query I ventured over to jillhaven and found several comments to the piece.
I now know who Mr Diamond is.

Yes, weird, but does it necessarily imply the obvious?

McCann:Blacksmith Bureau - The Games People Play.

I can only assume Blacksmith Bureau are playing mind games and trying to find out just exactly with whom I spoke to at SY and what about (I called them by the way and NO they do not have my address) Well sorry I am not biting. BUT just to keep old Blacksmith interested I will say this much, the male officer with whom I spoke passed me over to a female officer (neither connected with Operation Grange) who confirmed my name and enquired if I had spoken with Mr. Kennedy ? Now, bearing in mind how much a certain Mr.Kennedy has played in this bizarre case , which Mr.Kennedy do you believe she was referring to......Blacksmith, the ball is in your court.

'The games people play' says it all, can't she just spit it out?

I agree.
As far as I could see, Blacksmith wrote a satirical piece for its own sake, purely to entertain.
Why should there be an ulterior motive, to find something out?

As for this Kennedy thing - maybe there was someone called Kennedy in the same police department and the female officer might have wondered if she had spoken to him.
Kennedy is not an uncommon name.

Talk about making summat out of nowt ......
