I really really really wish

Post  Roasted Arizona on Fri 7 Dec - 21:28

That it had been another P.R. Specialist that had been arrested yesterday, if only to wipe the smugness out of him!

Well, you just never know RA. Who would have thought that Max Clifford would have been on the Yewtree list? Who knows who is next on that list?

Why is it both these P.R. specialists have the connections to be able to get their clients into the papers when they want to, as well as keep them out of the papers when that is advisable.

Yes interested, that is also what has intrigued me.I thought it could be because of the rumour Gerry was a Fundraiser for the Labour Party and might have had info about some donations which would embarass the Government .I can't think of any other reason why a Prime Minister would send an Ambassador within 24 hrs to help the Family. How could they know Madeleine would not be found ?

Some smaller fish being arrested which probably won't amount to anything, while the big fish swim off completely unnoticed. There's a fishy smell about it all.

Chuck in a few big names (hard to find any "bigger" than Cyril Smith) but who, most importantly, are dead.

Every time I hear that someone has been charged with comparatively minor offences from 30 or 40 years ago, my heart sinks further into my boots.

After the Newsnight and This Morning debacles, I'm sure that nobody will ever dare to mention (or not mention!) the names of anyone still alive.

The aura around all this is worse than rotting sea bass.

I think this bloodletting of suspected Celebrities must stop. I hope Max Clifford sues all the Press and this makes Cameron re-think his softly-softly approach. If a Law is introduced that the Press risks having its Licence taken away if it publishes reports which are untrue maybe Reporters will be more circumspect.

Why should Max Clifford sue the press Panda? He has virtually admitted covering up certain events for his clients so if nothing else surely that makes him guilty of concealing crimes, or is it accessory after the fact? That makes him just as guilty, maybe more so since the clients he was protecting were left free to carry on with their abuse.

Re: I really really really wish

Post  jd16 on Sat 8 Dec - 10:28

In this covertly shot video on Max Clifford the infamous PR consultant to the UK rich and famous, we hear Max make some interesting comments.

1. Max starts off by saying as long as they (the stars, rich & the famous), are not messing around with little kiddies, then he doesn’t mind, no problem at all in creating a false image.

2. Later on he admits, one his clients a UK Tory minister (Alan Clark) was having sex with a 14 year old & her mother, but somehow Max forgot to mention that to the papers, when he fed them the story.
So 14 is an acceptable age for his clients to have sex with minors, I really wonder what age would be to young?

‘I’ve all the hidden evidence’ on celebrities. ~ Clifford
Max Clifford also famously said. that the secret of my success was.

Confidence and the ability to lie with conviction.
Max Clifford, 2003

I might just add this; The other vital ingredient is the the ability to be able to black-mail his clients with evidence he has hidden.

DC: And there’s the defamation risk?

MC: No, that’s easy for me because I’ve got all the evidence. I’m the one who’s hidden it from the world. I know where everything is and the proof is.

mara- thon, this is a direct slur against HIM and his family.......if untrue he should sue the Press . No matter that he is guilty of other offences, the charge against him is very personal and an embarassment for his family and friends. Do you know for sure that he has knowingly protected pedophiles?

The Press are having a field day with all these reports, one even goes back 40 years !!!!

Max clifford is an obnoxious lying media whore who has made a fortune from spinning away rich peoples dirty secrets.
He has made no secret of getting involved with prostitutes and arranging orgies. There can be little doubt he has broken the law by covering up criminal activity.

Bleeding hearts please dont fool me or anyone else now.

Disgusting blot on the planet serves no purpose but evil, that applies to mitchell and morgan and most of the others.

I`ve never understood how they do it either. Pinky was said to control what comes out in the media - well how can you when we are living in a democracy - this isn`t communist China. If he and MC can control the media, they would have to have some control or jurisdiction over all the editors because one would think most editors would tell them both to piss off and stop telling me what I can and cannot print.

Would someone who knows about these things tell me how Pinky and MC do this controlling.

Well there's the ever-present Carter Ruck libel threats - and some have already had their fingers burned in that respect.
And then I suppose the warning that, if any negative McCann stories are published, the 'guilty parties' will never get another scoop again.

It's just censorship and control by the back door.

Thanks AG. I can see Max Clifford controlling the press in that way, by withholding good scoops, of which he must get plenty, but Pinky, not so sure he would even get scoops. Pinky seems to have some leverage over editors, telling them what to print. Many of the stories we`ve seen about the Mcs case are coloured with lies and half-truths; the editors and journalists must know this and yet they still print what Pinky wants.
