BOYCOTTING UK TAX AVOIDERS

IT IS POSSIBLE TO BOYCOTT AMAZON AND SAVE MONEY SO AN ARTICLE BY THE GUARDIAN MONEY SECTION SAYS.
SOME FIRMS LIKE SMYTH'S TOYS SELL THEIR TOYS BUT PAY MORE TAX THAN AMAZON DOES.(THEIR PRICES WERE CHEAPER THAN AMAZON ON 12 OUT OF 13 ITEMS).
SOME INDEPANDENT STORES ARE CHEAPER THAN THE BIG CHAINS.

TAX RESEARCH PLANS TO DO A LIST OF COMPANIES PAYING A FAIR AMOUNT OF TAXES.

john lewis boss says tax avoiders are gaining an unfair advantage over uk based firms who pay their fair amount of tax.

THERE IS A CAMPAIGN TO GET PEOPLE TO SHOP AT PLACES THAT PAY THEIR TAXES.
THE INDEPENDENT BOOKSHOP ASSOCIATION HAS SAID IT MEMBERS PAY TAX UNLIKE AMAZON.
SKY NEWS HAS A HUMMUS BROS WHO PAY TAXES UNLIKE STARBUCKS.

ETHICAL CONSUMER HAS LAUNCHED A BOYCOTT AMAZON CAMPAIGN.
SOME COMPANIES THAT PAY CORPORATION TAX ARE MARKS AND SPARKS,NEXT AND DEBENHAMS AS WELL AS LUSH.

Lets not forget the likes of Gary Barlow and Jimmy Carr who pay less tax on their millions & millions (as if they need it) than a nurse struggling to make ends meet on a poultry £25K. The likes of Barlow took from this country to make their wealth but don't want to pay their "fair dues" back which will help future generations, they wish to use the loophole for their selfish greed instead

The only way to get back at Starbucks is to not go in there and buy coffees which would hit them the most....but the UK public are spineless and you will always see their shops full of people buying coffees, they know this

I am sure the mccann fund is a prime example of tax avoidance and using it to for certain people to save monies on tax. If only the UK would have some balls to analyse it instead of putting people into prison for purporting facts of the truth

there was a woman on Radio 4 yesterday who runs a small business with her husband. 50% of their business comes from their shop on Amazon and the boycott has already harmed them at what should be their busiest time of the year. Boycotting Amazon harms all those small businesses that operate under the Amazon name, but are not part of Amazon itself.

I am shopping on Amazon all the time,i think its great.I dont know why people think we should all volunteer to pay tax just because we earn loads of money,or not as the case may be.
Its up to the government to collect taxes if we can avoid it we will so what !

Big corporations do it and ordinary folk do it when they can. As an agency worker, I had the choice of several companies that would handle my pay and organise that I paid as little tax as possible. Sally Bercow is against boycotting Amazon because there are lots of people with small businesses and also there are things on the site that are cheaper than anywhere else and why ask those who have very little to boycott a site they can buy from with what they have available. I shall continue to buy from Amazon.

It seems that Starbucks haven't actually broken the law so, whilst I think it's dreadful that they haven't paid much tax, it's not illegal and I think it's up to the Gvt to plug any loopholes that allow them to avoid taxation.

As for them being immoral, what a laugh...that any of our politicians could actually mention that word with a straight face. Glasshouses and stones methinks.
