It is known that they applied to do so via Videolink, before this Settlement hiatus came to pass.

I do wonder if they got a big fat "NO" to that ...................... might have been a factor in them changing tack.

Whatever - I think they will be obliged to attend.

And if they think they can simply withdraw the Case, they might have to think again as Amaral can claim the Case was Vexatious and insist action is taken. Many Countries take a dim view of Vexatious Litigation.

I think Carolina Posted some details of how the Portuguese could deal with Vexatious Litigation in another recent Thread, but I can't find it right now.

I think it will be considerably more than 5 euros, don't you agree Claudia? I'll be interested to see how you spin GA's capitulation into a victory then.

When Mr Amaral reaches an agreement with the McCann regarding the amount of compensation due, it will be taken from the seized earnings he made from the sale of the book and the documentary.

I wonder whether 'his terms' will include a large donation to the Find Madeleine Fund?

One thing that's clear is that the McCanns have no idea about the way GA thinks. And that's quite funny to witness, actually.
