Re: McCanns 'in the can'?
Un effing believable!
Mairead Philpott gets just ONE year FIVE months in jail for each of the six kiddies.
SEVEN AND A HALF YEARS BEFORE SHE GETS OUT TO ENJOY HER LIFE AGAIN!
Then she'll get a new ID, ( probably 24 hr police protection hotline, the irony being, probably from the same cops that nicked her!) free house, benefits galore. Looks like she's won the lottery!
WTF HAS THIS COUNTRY COME TO????????????

Please NOT!
Maybe a few 'old lags' can get her to attend a biology class (rehabilitaion only, you understand) in the nick and
and demonstrate a sterilisation procedure.
Also i'm sure her QC defence counsel, how did she AFFORD that?, will no doubt try to reduce her 'sentence' further by knocking off the time she's already 'served' in custody on remand!
Also lets not forget the 'MEDJA' in this, they will be queing up to get exclusives from her at some time!
'poor Mairead this, poor Mairead that, leave her alone, she's done her time" etc, etc.
The media made her, they'll want their money's 'worth' and will PAY handsomely for it.
DISGUSTING, VILE, SHAMELESS they call her now, but they will all be there ready with their blood stained cheque books 'bidding' for her 'story' on release!
Perhaps she'll get a certain JKR to help her with a bewk deal!

Re: McCanns 'in the can'?
Fire sniffer dog found traces of petrol inside front door, Day 14 of Philpott trial told
A FIRE dog discovered the seat of the blaze that killed six children after sniffing out petrol in the hallway of the semi-detached house.
Springer spaniel Freckle and her handler, Dave Coss, were part of the investigation team called to 18 Victory Road, Allenton, on the morning of May 11 last year.
• • •
Station manager Matthew Lee told the court how he and his team, which included forensic scientists, first examined the outside of the house and then the inside, starting at the furthest point from where they believed the blaze had begun.
He told the manslaughter trial of Mick and Mairead Philpott and Paul Mosley at Nottingham Crown Court, how there was no sign of smoke or fire damage in the games room, conservatory or kitchen, which were at the back of the house.

But there was evidence of smoke damage to the door that linked the front room to the kitchen and once inside the front room he and his investigation team noticed damage to a front-room window which he concluded would have been slightly open at the time the flames took hold.
Mr Lee, speaking on Day 14 of the trial, said: "That window, only being slightly open, meant the fire did not have a good escape route so, sadly, the smoke went up the stairs and into the bedrooms upstairs.
"All of the rooms upstairs were heavily smoke-logged.
"There was only one seat of fire and that was in the hallway of the house at the front. The heat and smoke damage in the lounge was from a secondary fire where the initial fire was looking for an escape route."
Mr Lee, who has worked for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service for 19 years, said once the team's initial "walk through" of the property was done Mr Coss and Freckle were then brought in.
He explained how fire dogs are trained to locate ignitable liquid and that none was found in the lounge area.
A search outside the house also discovered no ignitable liquids on either the doormat or the immediate area outside the front door.
Mr Lee said: "The front door had effectively disappeared, it was pretty much gone.
"The locking mechanism indicated that the door would have been locked. The fact there was more of the handle mechanism and door edge leading to the outside of the property led us to conclude more of the fire was on the inside of the hallway rather than the outside.
"The burn patterns and smoke signs throughout the property led us to conclude that there was just the one seat of fire.
"That was inside the hallway and the fire spread from there.
"We ran the fire dog along the outside doormat and there was no sign of burning nor an indication of any accelerant.
"The dog was not interested in the doormat or the immediate area outside the property."
Mr Lee then said that Freckle was placed inside the front door of the house and at first showed no indication of finding any ignitable liquids.
He said: "We lifted some of the fallen plaster and debris and straight away the dog showed interest.
"We lifted a small section of carpet underlay. It smelled heavily of petrol.
"We ran the dog up and down the stairs and into the lounge area but it just kept coming back to this small section in the hallway."

Re: McCanns 'in the can'?
I'm pretty sure that all the major news outlets routinely collect all manner of information on people whose prominence is related to high profile news stories. They are, after all, in direct competition, and will surely want to be among the first to bring new stories and information to their readers should any case take a lurch in a different direction.
Right now there's no profit nor point in publishing anything remotely negative, they would simply be sued. And at the moment they wouldn't be believed, such is the potency of the McCanns' PR offensive over the years.
But they will all have done their homework, they will have been talking to neighbours and family and colleagues and patients and so on. The school records, the medical stuff, the financial dealings, all will have been forked over. Many a time people on this and other fora have remarked at the lack of 'Gerry was my best friend at school' type of article, but those articles will all be there, all filed away in a large folder on the paper's server, ready for use should the time ever be right.
The reporters are not stupid, nor are they lazy. They know that there's a time to publish and a time to remain silent. The time to publish hasn't happened. But it might.
And I'm pretty confident that at times of legal movement here and in Portugal those articles are dusted off and reviewed. Just in case a wheel comes off the Team McCann caravan. Of course it may never happen, maybe there's no loose wheel at all, maybe the PR offensive was simply the truth. We on this forum don't tend to believe that's the case, but there are hordes of people out there that do. So all that stuff that has been amassed will just stay where it is for a while. Perhaps forever, who knows.
There's a lot that we don't know, and there's a lot we will never know. But someone out there knows about everything, from the deleted texts (if indeed there were any!) to the finances, to the bizarre billboard, the cleaners, the nanny in Canada, the crying. And they will know all about the schoolchums, the social life, the career.
And one day it will appear.

THEY are the guilty who are caught in the spotlight – partners or relatives of crime victims who weep crocodile tears at police press conferences while all the time THEY are the ones the cops are hunting.
Killer ... Philpott
That was the case with Mick and Mairead Philpott, who cried for the cameras even though they had killed their six children themselves.
Here ANTONELLA LAZZERI profiles other tearful fakers who turned out to be hiding the darkest of secrets.
Karen Matthews
WHEN nine-year-old Shannon Matthews vanished on her way home from a swimming pool on February 19, 2008, her mum Karen made a plaintive appeal.
Wiping away tears, she said: “Shannon, we love you so, so much. Please come home.”
Relatives and friends mounted a huge campaign to find the missing girl but police were suspicious from the start. They kept close tabs on Matthews, above, who spent most of her time away from the cameras partying with friends.
The difference in her behaviour on and off camera even made one of her best friends suspicious and she eventually confronted Matthews in a police car, saying she believed she knew where her daughter was.
Matthews broke down and admitted the kidnap was a sham, aimed at securing a £50,000 reward for the girl’s return. On March 14 she was found hidden in the base of a bed at the nearby home of Paul Donovan, uncle of Matthews’s boyfriend, in Dewsbury, West Yorks.
In November 2008 both were tried and convicted of kidnapping, false imprisonment and perverting the course of justice. Both were jailed for eight years.
Gordon Wardell
Gang claim ... Wardell and wife Carol
CATERS NEWS AGENCY / NEWSTEAM
GORDON WARDELL pleaded for help in finding the killers of his wife Carol, a building society manager murdered in September 1994.
Wardell, of Meriden, West Mids, claimed a gang had captured her. A month later he was arrested and in December 1995 he was jailed for life, with a minimum of 18 years.
John Tanner
Ice-cool calm ... John Tanner and Rachel McLean
JOHN TANNER told reporters of his desperation when his girlfriend, Oxford student Rachel McLean, 19, vanished in April 1991.
But cops were amazed at his ice-cool calm and found her body under floorboards at her home, where he had hidden it.
At his 1991 trial Tanner, 22, admitted murder and was jailed for life.
Iftikhar and Farzana Ahmed
Honour killing ... dad Iftikhar and Shafilea
AFTER 17-year-old Shafilea Ahmed vanished from her home in Warrington, Cheshire, on September 11, 2003 her parents Iftikhar and Farzana gave an emotional TV interview.
The body of Shafilea was found in a Cumbrian river in February 2004.
In May 2012 her parents were jailed for life for her “honour killing”.
Paul Dyson
Scheming ... Dyson and victim Joanne
ROSS PARRY / ENTERPRISE NEWS AND PICTURES
TEARFUL Paul Dyson went on TV to plead for help in finding his 22-year-old girlfriend Joanne Nelson, who had gone missing on Valentine’s Day 2005.
But scheming 31-year-old Dyson, of Hull, had strangled her. He later confessed to a friend, who told his mother, who told cops.
In November 2005 Dyson was jailed for life.
Darren Vickers
TV plea ... Vickers and murdered Jamie
BUS driver Darren Vickers was the last man to see eight-year-old Jamie Lavis on May 5, 1997.
After the boy vanished he befriended his distraught family in Openshaw, Manchester, making a tearful TV plea on their behalf.
But in April 1999, at Preston Crown Court, Vickers was jailed for life for Jamie’s murder.
Tracie Andrews
'Road rage' ... Tracie Andrews and fiancé Lee Harvey
HER left eye bruised, ex-model Tracie Andrews shook as she told a press conference of the “fat man with staring eyes” who had stabbed to death her 25-year-old fiancé Lee Harvey in a road rage attack in Alvechurch, Worcs, in December 1996.
But in July 1997 at Birmingham Crown Court she was convicted of murder and jailed for life.
Mitchell Quy
Documentary ... Quy and wife Lynsey
WHEN his wife Lynsey disappeared over Christmas 1998, Mitchell Quy threw himself into a round of TV appeals.
He even let a documentary crew follow him around as he “searched” for her.
But lying Quy, of Southport, had killed Lynsey and chopped up her body before disposing of it.
He got life after finally confessing.
Miles Evans
Act ... Evans and Zoe Hamilton
HUGGING girlfriend Paula Hamilton as she broke down in tears while pleading for news of her missing daughter Zoe, Miles Evans acted the worried stepdad.
Zoe, nine, had vanished from her home in Warminster, Wilts, in January 1997. But after her naked body was found, former soldier Evans was jailed for life for her murder.
myView
By JOHN O’CONNOR, former Scotland Yard commander
FOR some years the police have provided facilities for crime victims to hold press conferences. It is useful in bringing the grief and tragedy of serious crime to the public’s attention.
Very often witnesses and vital evidence is flushed out and can lead to the conviction of the perpetrator.
Occasionally the conference is used by offenders in an attempt to hoodwink the police and public, as was the case with the Philpotts. Mick Philpott’s performance was excruciating and left even his most ardent supporters in no doubt of his guilt.
Only the most stupid and arrogant of people will attempt to pull this off and Philpott more than proved this. It is significant that he demanded to have a conference. He walked straight into an elephant trap.
Genuine victims have nothing to fear and the police are grateful for their courage and determination. But police may use a press conference as a technique with suspects to see how they might slip up.
What they say and how they behave will be closely monitored and analysed.
There are some pictures as well but Im on a mobile so cant paste them. However I consider the final sentence a nice warning

Re: McCanns 'in the can'?
As far as the Mccanns are concerned, we have to go back to the beginning.
THAT is where you will see them 'slipping up'.
Two stand out for me.
The first time the pair off them or rather Kate McCann read from a piece off paper 'pleading' for the 'abductor' not to hurt her....I watched the philpotts and the part where they made eye contact, split second..it reminded me so much off the way Gerry McCann looked up at Kate McCann....split second eye contact....I got this stomach churning feeling when in saw the philpott interview and instantly thought off that moment.
Second.....the interview where they were asked about what they go through when a sighting is reported...Gerry Mccanns reaction when the interviewer asked that question what for him to 'snigger' and he had to look away to hide THAT reaction...
All those interviews etc were watched by the PJ and Mr Amaral and my betting is they did the same as other analysts do....rewind and replay every part off every interview.....I watched a programme on tv the other night when a man did interviews about his missing wife, pleading etc, they were all watched by profilers etc and he said that he 'rewinded' and 'played' one interview at least a 100 times because that's what it takes to catch a killer, and they did , the husband.. the grieving lying husband.

That may be true now but we have got ALL the 'interviews' from day 1.
All the first 'reactions' from May 4th to june 2007 all archived for posterity!
Including ' kate McCann SCRUNCHY FACE, NO TEARS,' "pray for her" outside church in PDL, 6th May 2013.
Not a tissue or hanky in sight! (to wipe away 'tears')
Now, i'm not saying they KNEW they wouldn't need them.........but.

At least Philpotts had tissues!
How the McCanns wish those videos could be 'abducted'!
Kate McCann 'Gerry gave another great performance today' (diary ) at press conference.
Professor David Wilson, outspoken McCann SUPPORTER, said of Philpott on Wednesday 3rd April 2013 " Philpott was trying to give a great performance" (at press conference)
Spot the difference!!!!
Here's a clue.
Philpott isn't a 'doctor'!!!

Oh dear, Mr Wilson had better do another interview video distancing the McCanns 'behaviour' on video compared to the Philpotts 'behaviour' on video!
I'm no good at making videos, perhaps this is for Hi De Ho to make a comparison video about what Mr Wilson says about Philpotts and his resolute defending of the McCanns who display exactly the SAME traits, as the Philpotts, in their interviews.
