I wouldn't either and if they were in their own country, the police would probably be dispersing them with gunfire. That's a London street, but it looks more like a street in Pakistan or Syria. I'm sick of them.

A few weeks ago, there was a programme on Radio 4 about Austrian Jews who came to the UK to escape Nazi persecution. They set up their own schools so that their children could learn to speak English before entering the British education system. Most of the adults decided to speak English when they were out and about so that they could integrate quickly into the country that had accepted them. What a difference. So many of our schools have Muslim children entering at age 4/5 who don't speak English and who have to have teaching assistants to help them understand what's going on, to gradually teach them the language of British education.

Perhaps one day our government and media will present segregation and racism in their true colours. It's Muslim immigrants who segregate themselves and practice racism to the degree of refusing to mix within their own culture because of variations of the same religion, gender and caste.

When I lived in Manchester, I had a few women friends who were Muslim. These women were at the bottom of the scale of importance in families, to the extent that my neighbour's 5 year-old girl had to look after her 4 year-old and 3 year-old brothers. One of my friends, Zakia, had had a "love marriage." As if that weren't enough, her family was Sunni and the man she married was Shia. So doubly outcast and her family would have nothing to do with her.

It's wrong we should allow these arranged marriages to take place here in the UK. Why on earth do our leaders not put a stop to it and ban this Shia Law affront to our own established rules? It's an obscenity that we indigenous civilised 'Brits' are berated as being racists, intolerant, arrogant and insensitive by our 'Leaders' when the immigrants who complain of our 'intolerant' attitude to them treat their own people worse than we ever do.

I was listening to a radio programme in the car and it was a phone in about segregation and as per usual White British people were getting the blame.

It makes me mad that 'whoever' accuse british people off not mixing with non British citizens who come into this country and accuse us off only wanting to live or move where there are predominately White only people.

I thought, hang on , it's the non British people who move to this country and live amongst the like...not the other way round....and that is because they can't or won't speak english so they feel more comftable amongst their own kind.....how can you live with someone who you can't understand, have we all got to Learn all the different languages to accommodate them....one women said it doesn't feel like I'm living in my own country any more....they segregate themselves.

I was thinking about Madeleine as I typed that! My neighbour, Kishwar, had converted a small room into a work room, where she did "home work" sewing zips into trousers for a textile factory. The 3 children were left to their own devices and it was down to the 5 year-old girl to make sure the boys didn't get into too much.

On a forum I contributed to a few years ago, there was a man who was living in Bradford. He was a very angry person because he was on the point of moving out of the area he had lived in all his life. Gradually the houses around him had been bought up by Asian people and he was the isolated white person in his road.

My daughter used to live in an area of Leicester, near the university. This is close to an area called Highfield. Passing by, you see what look like big, Victorian houses in Highfield, but for the price of a 5 bedroom, terraced house in Highfield, you can probably buy a 2 bedroom terraced house in the area my daughter lived in because Highfield has become a Muslim enclave. It's an area where Somalis from Evington area and Pakistanis from Highfield are fighting it out for the drugs and prostitution trade and at night especially it's a no-go area for anyone on their own.

We lived in Highfields for 6 months when we were first married. This was at the beginning of the immigrant take over of the area. Prior to this it was no different from any other inner city area, keep yourself to yourself and there's no problem. Immigrants moved in at the Evington Road end of Earl Howe St and within 6 months we had to move out. None of them spoke English and the house a couple of doors away had 2 families living there. We left when we found our outside loo was being used when we were not at home... Lovely neighbours..

It will be interesting to see how the Turkish govt reacts to the two car bombs planted by Syrians. The Turkish are usually a very tolerant people but they will not stand for Syrians bringing their problems over the border. Just like the Israelis, and quite right too!
