Irish conman to be deported over $2m fraud
Article dated Monday July l, 2013 online in the Irish Examiner about Halligen "who speaks with a high-class English accent".
"If sent to Britain, he could find himself being questioned over vast sums of money HANDED to him by a fund set up to search for Madeleine McCann and for which little work appeared to be done."
Sorry I can't transcribe the whole article, just thought it might be of interest.

Speaking generally, there's no way that anyone who's as dodgy as hell would employ anyone other than charlatans and con artists.
Genuine investigators would quickly realise that the person employing them is guilty and wouldn't get paid for saying so!

As I have said elsewhere, Halligen was languishing in HM Prison for almost two years and Clarence said the matter was closed when asked by a Reporter if the Fund was going to sue him. This is the second paper to comment recently which suggests the Press may be on to something.
