Portugal will aid Yard case on Madeleine (The Times)

I'm sure that Portugal will cooperate with the new investigation, just as they cooperated with SY when they made their numerous visits during the review. They will have, by now, achieved a good face-to-face working relationship (which is still IMO, despite all the available new technologies, by far the best method of communication in these circumstances).
I also think that when the MLA letters are completed, the investigation will move on apace.
But I believe the CPS are right to take time to make sure that the requests are formulated correctly.
One can well imagine the Byzantine complexity of such documents which then have to be translated too.
We wouldn't want to see, in the months to come, some fancy lawyer pouncing on a 'technicality'.
