I'll leave it for those who can access the ITV player to pick out the similiarities!

It sounds very much like Broadchurch meets the McCanns.
Interesting timing too.

Will probably watch tonight or over the weekend with OH - he has recorded it.

When Katherine kelly who plays the mum was sitting on the settee at the beginning of the programme, talking to the police, her words could have been written and spoken by the one and only Kate. I even asked my husband who had written her part of the script!!!

The only bit she missed out was the missing piece of the jigsaw!!!!!

If she had been given a copy of "the book" to read she would have known that you don't react that way when a child goes missing. You go jogging, have your hair highlighted, collect free bottles of plonk, not break down in tears and scream and wail.

The missing piece of the jigsaw campaign didn't start till December 2011.

I recommend looking for missing jigsaw pieces behind the settee.......

That is so way to much of an coincidence for it not to be based on the McCanns!!! It has got to be away of getting the story in the headlines!

They don't KNOW what the truth is after all this time  

I thought it was a great show and there were indeed some similarities:

the date
the group of 'drinking' friends
nobody checked on the kids
the resuscitation attempt
the blanket
clearly there are 'skeletons' in the closet

Other than that.....well, Katherine Kelly played the grieving Mother with aplomb....unlike Mrs Mc

What friends above say is true enough, but maybe that is because the likes of us can see all the correspondences... We said the same about some aspects of 'The Suspicions of Mr Whicher'... I doubt Mr or Mrs Bloggs in the High Street would see the similarities though.

After all these years the McCanns refuse to take any responsibility for Madeleine's disappearance. They continue to deflect all blame to the unknown and alleged "abductor" when the fact remains that no matter the circumstances of Madeleine's disappearance, the McCannns are at least partially responsible.

If based on k8 bewk, how much is her £££ share?
