McCanns sceptical over kidnap reports/The News Matrix

Kate and Gerry McCann have described reports about a man Portuguese police suspect kidnapped Madeleine as “pure speculation”. The 40-year-old had been fired from the Ocean Club holiday complex in Praia de Luz where the McCanns were staying when their daughter disappeared on 3 May 2007 and may have been seeking revenge, according to the daily Correio da Manha.

In the Mirror report it has this:

Portuguese police yesterday refused to speak about on the report. Maddie's parents, Kate and Gerry, both 45, of Rothley, Leics, also declined to comment. But a source close to the couple said: "It may be the Policia Judiciaria are putting a spin on things to show they are doing a good job.

"But if this man is the kidnapper, where has he put Madeleine?"

I guess they don't want people to think she is dead because of the fund. Or otherwise maybe they have "put" this news out there and then saying it is speculation to confuse people.

Yes, well it would be 'pure speculation' now, wouldn't it?

After they initially pressed the button on the Find-Another-New-Dead-Patsy-Generator and came up with this guy who had revenge-kidapped her and killed her, they realised afterwards that it might stop all donations to their Alive and Findable Maddie limited company.

And by now they must have noticed that nobody is buying this latest piece of crap.
Hence: "It ain't necessarily so. It ain't necessarily so-oo ..."

That's odd, l view the McCanns kidnap report as 'pure speculation' too !!

And we'll all stop looking for her.

They only push live potential sightings of Madeleine.

Well it's all happening T4two, but nothing is happening if you know what I mean . We just have to pin our hopes on Amaral winning. This is a never -ending story isn't it.!! Getting quite boring now.

Pure speculation never stopped them before! Thinking of their many Clarence-produced stories about the "detective" who used to be a bartender uncovering the porn ring in the PJ, the pure speculation about the Bundleman, etc.

Funnily enough, if they say that this is just the PJ trying to make themselves look good and they DONT say the one SY uncovered is just SY trying to make themselves look good, it looks like they give credence to the Exton efit - again, why'd they suppress it?

For once I'm in agreement with the McCanns - I'm equally sceptical about the story!

Clarence and the rest of the team must be so dizzy with all the spinning they've been doing lately.

They didn't even comment to say no comment. On the e-fits. So they didn't dignify them with a comment or even say they weren't dignifying them with a comment. Well they've ignored them for five years. Why acknowledge them now.
