Massive Comet heading this way.............
And if the Sun decides to change its polarity just as the comet approaches will it sling shot it outwards and head for Earth ?
Could be a good show in the night sky coming up.

Re: Massive Comet heading this way.............
I think I saw it first thing this morning! About 5:30 am, very low in the sky, looking East, right next to Venus (I think). No, on second thoughts it was next to Mercury. So I DID see it! :-0

Lioned I'm sure I saw it, it was really bright. That, Mercury and the Moon were the only 3 things in the sky. I'm often up early to get the 6:35 train so I am quite familiar with the early morning sky, and this was new.Lioned wrote:They think it survived.

There are 3 Comets in the night sky at the moment.
Ison is the one we are talking about here which is getting. 'Slingshot' around the Sun.
Also Comet Brewington (quite a small one)
and Comet Lovejoy which is the brightest and can be seen early in the morning.
