Maybe it is all a cunning plan as Baldrick would say to lure the McCanns back to Portugal so they can be arrested . Oporto has provided the evidence and SY , if they set foot on Portugese soil again will be on the next plane home.

I hope the residents of Luz, whatever their origins, make it perfectly clear to these people (within the law, of course) that they are not welcome and that they should take themselves, their media gimps and their strange clerical hangers-on elsewhere for their grubby tabloid photo opportunities.

And leave a pleasant little resort, which never did anyone any harm, in peace.

I don't think there is any plans to arrest, or to investigate, mccanns. MET is working on patsy, dead if possible. We haven't seen anything else so far. Just 'Patsy games'

If the McCanns attend, they will no doubt be shaking hands with their public outside of the church and accepting gifts including flowers, just as they did outside the church on what would have been Madeleine's 4th birthday. I wonder if they will look as happy on this occasion, as they did on the last occasion. The McCanns looked so happy on that occasion, that anyone could be forgiven, for thinking the McCanns were celebrating a special event. Maybe they were, maybe they'd received confirmation, that they would never be brought to justice for their terrible crime.

I wouldn't be surprised if the McCanns use the 7th anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance, to say they are now accepting Madeleine is probably dead, they want to grieve in peace and they want the case closed once and for all. What the McCanns want, they usually get.

A friend of mine who was raised in Portugal, but now lives in Canada, enlisted her Portuguese friend, to buy a copy of Goncalo Amaral's book. None of the high street book shops sold his book and when her friend queried this in one book shop, she was told that the book was removed when the McCanns were trying to get the book banned and it has never been returned to the book shelves. Kate McCann's book was for sale, in all of the book shops this lady visited.

Goncalo Amaral's book can be bought online from the Portuguese online book store, but so can Kate McCann's book.

The McCanns did a lot of damage to the economy in Praia da Luz, yet they happily trot back, when they feel like it, knowing full well that they will be made welcome by some, if not all of the Praia da Luz residents, they come across. The P.J. are insulted almost daily, by the media and have also had sly comments made about their ability to police, by Scotland Yard. They remain silent, just as they did when Goncalo Amaral was pilloried for not doing his job properly, when Madeleine disappeared.

In my opinion, the Portuguese people have turned their backs on Goncalo Amaral, in favour of the McCanns. There are some Portuguese who say the McCanns are not welcome in their country, but not enough to make the McCanns stay away.
