Dived in case Madeleine and British operation, unprecedented, riding in Praia da Luz since Monday and that will continue until next week.
Thirty British police, equipped with two dogs specialists in detecting victims, a geo-radar and probes you inspect the sewerage component to what should be the last step of the British investigation.
The Friday 9 to know that the head of the operation, Andy Redwood, will retire later this year. For now, the Judicial Police demarcates altogether these clues so far not produced any results.
The PJ does not believe that Madeleine is buried in any of the three campuses of Praia da Luz that Scotland Yard is in sight and therefore did not displace any member of the team investigating the case in Portugal for the Algarve.

It's strange that if true Redwood is to retire , none of the British Press have picked up on it.

He looks too young to retire ,unless he is being pushed .....more than likely because of the money he has cost the taxpayer !!! DCI Redwood to retire later this year + VIDEO 294124

The Friday 9 to know that the head of the operation, Andy Redwood, will retire later this year.

So, this Friday 9 outfit 'knows'.
So how does it 'know'?
Has Redwood made an official announcement? I haven't as yet seen one.
And doesn't this seem to be a very odd time to announce a retirement?
Maybe Friday 9 has obtained the information from another 'source'.
But if it has, it's not telling us.

Kate McCann is another one who likes to tell us that she 'knows' ......

He prob knew he was going to retire BEFORE this farce and so he didn't care if it ruined his career because he wasnt going to have one anymore so he didnt give a toss as he BIG retirement payoff means he was set up for rest off his life..

Kitti, I blame Cameron more for this fiasco and a damaging of SY's reputation. It was Kate's open letter to him via the Sun supposedly written by Kate and posted in The Sun, no doubt with the help of Rebekah Brooks, his friend.

Quite the opposite. Coppers are best remembered for the last case they worked on than for the first or middle and all good dedicated coppers like to retire with their heads held high and with the utmost respect from their colleagues.

Indeed.
People on average live longer these days. Coppers tend to retire earlier than most. So if they still have their health, they're a long time retired.
No-one, not even the most hard-nosed copper, would want that little face haunting him every waking day.
As one gets older, it's the 'if onlys' and the 'what might have beens' that tend to trouble the mind.

Here is a surprise not.

http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2014/06/maddie-case-first-stage-of-searches.html

Andy Redwood is as big a disgrace as his predecessor Hamish Campbell, he and Campbell  never followed proper investigative procedures, on cases they have led.  Below is Campbell's claim to fame.

http://thecolemanexperience.wordpress.com/2013/04/10/hamish-campbell-jill-dando-and-operation-yewtree/

It was either Scotland Yard, or some other police force, who advised the PJ to look closely at the McCanns, they may have even advised the PJ to make the McCanns suspects, however I can't prove this is so.

What I do know is the PJ were given the advice, because the McCanns were the last people to see Madeleine alive. The two people that supposedly checked Madeleine, before and after Gerry McCann, supposedly made his one and only check, stated, that they never saw Madeleine, even though Madeleine was supposedly sleeping in the bed nearest the door. These people also stated that they saw the twins, or at least their cots, even though by their own admission, they never entered the children's bedroom. The twins cots were only visible if the bedroom was entered.

Redwood knows that in a missing person case, where the police are involved, the first people who should be on his persons of interest list, is the person/s who last saw the missing person. Redwood knew without a shadow of doubt, that the McCanns were not only involved with Madeleine's disappearance, because if they were speaking the truth, they left their children alone and Madeleine vanished while they were out. He also knew that Gerry McCann was the last person to see Madeleine alive, because he stated he saw her, on his 21:05 check.

Whether Redwood was following orders or making his own decisions, Redwood told the media that the McCanns along with their friends, were not persons of interest to he and his team and this was unforgivable and bang out of order. He denied Madeleine justice, when he declined to interview the McCanns along with their mates. Not only that,he has made it plain that he is looking for anyone but the McCanns to take the blame for Madeleine's disappearance.

He hasn't stated that he is looking for a patsy, but because of the statements he has issued to the media, where he has made dead paedophiles, who were cleared of any involvement with Madeleine's disappearance, whilst alive, persons of interest, as well as cleaners, drug dealers and burglars, he has ensured that anyone but the McCanns will take the blame for Madeleine's disappearance.

Redwood should be booted off the case ASAP and an investigation should take place as to how this man was ever put in charge of this investigation. If Redwood has followed orders from a higher authority within Scotland Yard, that person should also be under  investigation.

However knowing Scotland Yard's track record for corruption, I doubt very much if this will happen.

Hi almostgothic

I was married to a police officer, who served during the mid 60's from the age of 19, until he finished at the age of 40, due to ill health. My husband was a cadet, he wasn't classed as a serving police officer, until he became a police officer at the age of 19. At the time my husband was a police officer, they served 25yrs. There was a cut off period when people could apply to become a police officer and whatever age they joined, they would finished between the ages of 44 and 49.

Most police officers found other jobs when they retired from the police force, because even though they got a decent police pension, they would have been bored silly, doing nothing, especially if they had been active within the force. My husband found an office job and there he remained until his death in 2000. Other officers usually take a security job.

As far as I know, there is no age limit or height limit, within the police force and police officers can remain in the force, until they are ready to retire.

You have never heard of Measure A19 then Kathybelle? Officers forced to retire after 30 years service, no matter what.

Tyndallwood Solicitors wrote:Five police forces could face paying out millions of pounds after officers who were forced to retire after 30 years service won an age discrimination claim.

An Employment Tribunal has ruled that five police forces acted unlawfully when using regulation A19 of the Police Pension Regulations 1987 requiring the compulsory retirement of officers with 30 years service to meet budget cuts imposed by the Government.

Under regulation A19, a police authority may require an officer of the rank of chief superintendent or below to retire if it considers their retention is not ‘in the general interests of efficiency of the force’. This is on the basis that the officer has sufficient service to qualify for a pension of at least 2/3 of their average pensionable pay.

A large number of officers brought age discrimination claims in the Employment Tribunals. Five test cases from Nottingham, Devon and Cornwall, West Midlands, North Wales and South Wales were heard together. The London Central Employment Tribunal held that the police forces’ use of regulation A19 was not justified and amounted to unlawful indirect discrimination.

In response to this Judgment, Deputy Chief Constable Dave Thompson said ‘We note the decision of the employment tribunal and need some time to consider our position going forward. We are actively considering an appeal and therefore unable to comment further at this time’.

The police forces have 42 days to appeal against the Tribunal’s decision.

And I would imagine Andy Redwood might consider writing his memoirs when he does retire. Many top serving coppers do.

And the ones I know who have retired are: -

Running a holiday guest house
Gardening/Stump Removal
Pest Control
Chimney Sweep
Parcel Deliverer
Criminal Profiler/Author
Carer
Cricket Umpire
Undertaking voluntary work
Playing Golf
Just generally putting feet up

The above coppers reached rank of Sergeant or higher, some long-standing CID detectives, some uniform working shifts.
