The Judge has been questioning Mrs. McCann
Asked her when she first became aware of Mr. Amaral`s book - said she heard it was going to be published then read bits of it on the internet. Said it was hurtful that they were suffering from the abduction of the daughter then had this insult on top. Said Sean had asked them if they had hidden Maddie`s body in a freezer and then transported it in their hire car.

Martin Brunt said Mr. Amaral`s lawyer questioned Mrs. McCann and asked her about the support she had received, i.e. money and celebrities etc.

(I'm not sure why a lawyer with no email would require a laptop bag )

Mr Amaral's new lawyer is Dr. Miguel Cruz Rodrigues.

Leanne R Baulch Kate McCann had said the book has added fuel to the fire in regards to these group, it has caused people to ask them questions in the street and has had an effect on the twins and it has made things much more difficult for them all. The judge asked when these groups came about and she has said before the book was released. Gerry is giving evidence next.

Just heard GA's lawyer outside the court on TVI. I liked him.
Said the couple could not speak of social destruction because they had various celebrities supporting them, attended public dinners and Gerry even spoke before the British parliament so it doesn't make sense to allege social destruction
Also said that it's GA who is being persecuted because the book only says what is in the files and for that reason the Portuguese state should have also been sued and it isn't.

#Madeleine After giving impact statements to Lisbon court McCanns say they hope they have undone some of the "damage" done by ex cop's book.

She had read bits of it on the internet? Does she speak fluent Portuguese? I can read a bit but nowhere near enough to read a book which would be written in "proper" Portuguese.
Sean asked her that question? I don't believe this for one minute. Why would a child of that age ask such a thing. He wouldn't. She is a liar and a fantasist. A real life female Walter Mitty, believing her own lies.

So it was on the radio - presumably reporting the legal action in Portugal instigated by his parents.

#Madeleine Amaral refused permission to speak in trial. He and McCanns blocked at first, but McCanns appealed. He didn't, now too late.
