You are not wrong old son. All indications point to there being a great deal more - at the moment sympathisers than at first thought.- I say sympathisers because several reports from the areas they have taken over show that while they have for years been friendly with Christians, the moment the opportunity came up, they turned on those same Christians. It could be said that they were saving their own skins by showing the fanatics what good Muslims they are, but the result is the same. They have to go on ad infinitum showing what good co religionists they are. Any backsliding of any sort seems to lead to severe punishment. At least western governments seem to be waking up to the danger albeit very slowly.

I agree with your sentiments kitti and I would certainly agree that man for man, our armed forces are among the best in the world. Unfortunately our succession of armchair warriors who are referred to as a government have steadily reduced and eroded the armed forces to the point where a gang of determined teddy bears could give us a hard time. We just have not got the manpower any more to deal with these terrorists by ourselves, it will have to be a coalition, and both Sir Richard Dannat as well as other informed people say the chain of command must be absolute.

As for running away these people have no fear of dying, since in their tiny minds they are going to paradise with the 72 virgins awaiting them. As you can see this is the inevitable way their minds work. It all revolves around sex.

The bombing has had some effect, how much we are not told, and I agree with that, they would also be telling disaffected elements already here. Having said that bombing alone will not do it, it will have to be boots on the ground.

We also have to remember that these terrorists do not fight in the normal way. Suicide bombing, ambush, and terror attacks are their stock in trade. Our security forces do a magnificent job, especially when their own budget cuts are taken into account, but they can't be everywhere.
