Murder charge remand over 'Tati'....found by dogs
A man has been remanded in custody charged with murdering Ermatati Rodgers, a 41-year-old woman who went missing 15 months ago.
Lukasz Reszpondek, 27, of Wrexham, a Polish national, is also charged with the unlawful disposal of her body.
The defendant followed proceedings at Mold magistrates via an interpreter.
Indonesia-born Ms Rodgers, known as Tati, was last seen in Gwersyllt, near Wrexham, in January 2008. Police found human remains near Wrexham on Tuesday.
Heavy digging machinery was brought to land near the historic Erddig Hall last Thursday and specialist dogs were used in the search after new information was given to officers working on the case.

Re: Murder charge remand over 'Tati'....found by dogs
What a co-incidence I was just reading about the dogs and their finding over at the 3A's forum.
On the night of 4th May two GNR police dogs where given a towel to smell then they tracked a route from the north door of apartmaent 5A, going anticlockwise via alleyways the long way around building 5, then over the road to a car park, as shown in this police map:
I start with the assumption that the scent tracked by the GNR dogs was either
(1) the scent of a human who had used the towel after a bath or shower, or
(2) the scent of a particular bubblebath or soap used by a human who had used the towel after a bath or shower.
It is simple to deduce that, in either case, the human who had used the towel after bath or shower is likely to be one of the five humans in that family. Equally we can deduce that the route tracked by the GNR dogs was the route of one of those five humans in that family.
The GNR dogs first tracked this route late evening on the 4th, which is about 25 hours after the "alarm". Within those 25 hours, the 4 surviving humans in that family would each have created several more recent (and therefore stronger when the dogs were tracking) scent trails, all leading to and from apartment 5H or apartment 4G.
The fact that this route led from apartment 5A to a carpark without going to 5H or 4G indicates strongly IMO that the dog route is unlikely to be the route of any of those 4 surviving humans. Therefore IMO it is likely to be a route of Maddie, sometime on the 3rd.
Aerial views of the route from the McCanns' apartment to the Baptista supermarket. This is the route believed to have been taken by police sniffer dogs, following Madeleine's scent, on the morning of 04 May 2007.

The entrance to the Baptista supermarket where the sniffer dogs lost the scent of Madeleine. It is here that Gerry is believed to have bought a bottle of New Zealand wine, 'Montana Sauvignon', that he and Kate drank before leaving for the Tapas restaurant on the evening of May 3rd.

Excellent information Sharon!! Thanks for this, it is very clear then, that the dogs definitely picked up a scent of Maddie.
I gave you a plus point for that

Its better actually seeing it in photographs than when you read it as its far easier to comprehend. BUT I thought the trail ended at the beach. Is the batista near the beach? thats what I cant figure out.
