Boy George is a fat useless talentless idiot IMHO..I cant even bear to look at him and he puts make up on better than I do infact this smilie looks him
Aye, but talent also involves putting yourself across. He ain't doing nowt now.......bit of DJing, bit of community service recently but he was out there in the 80s.
I usually stick to my classical AND RRRRRRRRROCK!
My taste in music is quite catholic but Opera is my love..I like everything except trad jazz and and heavy rock
I can't listen to jazz - it makes my right eye go funny, especially the improvised crap. Actually, I do like jazz-influenced rock, a la Steely Dan.
May have to start a new thread - a Jukebox or is there one here already? I'll ave a lookie.

Actually its not a mother crying for her son..I always thought it was, its an 18 year old girl singing to her mother..well you live and learn :Jump:
Edit again I was right..there are clearly many interpretations of this stirring and spine chilling symphony

I love music from all periods. Harpsichord is not as popular as it was, I guess because it is not as expressive as the piano, but some of Bach's work is so worth listening to for a) its intricacy and b) its sheer ellegance.
One of my faves:

Given the choice: Baroque/Classical/Romantic - it has to be the Romantic period! DEFFO (although I love all three periods).

A confession - my interest in classical music partly dates back to my teenage years - I watched 'A Clockwork Orange', which featured 'Ludwig Van'. I was captured.

Antoinette,
I think she is superb too. I love the mix of classical and modern.

Re: What is your fave classical piece?
Anything by Mahler - this is guaranteed goosebumps (for me, anyway), now inextricably linked with "Death in Venice"....
