New appeal for missing Johnstown resident
by Noelle Finegan

Anna Larkina...now missing for over two months.

A renewed appeal for information in the search for Lithuanian woman Anna Larkina, who has been missing since leaving her Navan home 11 weeks ago featured on RTE's 'Crimecall' programme last week.

Ms Larkina (50) went missing from her home in Johnstown on Sunday morning, 15th November, and despite extensive searches along the Boyne, no trace of her has been found. An appeal was made on the the 'Crimecall' programme on Tuesday night of last week but it is understood that no new information has come to light following the appeal.

Ms Larkina had been living in Ireland for a number of years and moved to Navan during the summer from Dunboyne. She is believed to have left her home at Chestnut Hall, Old Johnstown, between 8.30am and 10am on that Sunday morning.

Ms Larkina is described as being 5'5" to 5'7" in height, of slight build, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a long cream coat, navy tracksuit bottoms with a light blue stripe down the side, and a dark-coloured polo-neck. It is understood she had no mobile phone or no access to money.

Searches have been carried out along the Boyne since Ms Larkina went missing and an intensive search took place on Saturday each side of the Boyne between Navan and Slane. The search involved members of the Civil Defence, local Gardai, Meath River Rescue and the the Coastguard.

Sergeant Ronan Farrelly of Navan Garda Station said river rescue teams have also been carrying out searches on a daily basis on the river and the land each side, but no trace had been found of the missing woman.
