Because our police are a joke...They are using special constables who have zero powers, they arent even allowed to arrest anyone isntead thy have to call for a "proper" policeman to attend. Add to that they are constantly in the news for either running civilians over on pedestrian crossings in pursuit of joy riders and more recently to deliver a birthday card!! They are corrupt, look at the deaths in custody they have tried to cover up, look at the innocent bloke on the train DeMenzes who ended up with 8 bullets pumped in to his head..And look at them with the Madeleine case!! Why would the youth of today have any respect for them?

I cant understand why the police are critisising people for paying to have their streets and their property watched by private agencies when at the moment our streets are being patrolled by the specail constables who arent even allowed to arrest anybody or even possess handcuffs!!
