Re: High-profile Portugal child sex abuse 'proved'
Now we have Carlos Cruz on SIC. I had to change to TVI where they are interviewing Catalina Pestana who always supported the victims of the abuse. She says that there are a lot of other names in the process who cannot be tried because of a law of 2002 made to measure. It seems that Carlos Cruz threatens to make known who these people are and CP also says she plans to do it on her site. Also, she is convinced that Paulo Pedroso is not innocent. She also states that the case is finished for the victims and for her. As for the appeals, they will only be based on the form or the law and not on the facts. Therefore, the victims will not longer be witnesses.

Beautiful Claudia,, just be patient Kate & Gerry MaCann plus Tapas will be charged and convicted over their involvment in Madeleines death.
Eventually justice will be served, sometimes it takes a little patience a lot of external pressure and a cool head to get there ,but get there it will.

It's looks like Paulo Pedroso may have neven been an innocent. I don't believe for a moment the judge Rui Teixeira was stupid enough to put a politician of his profile in Jail, without having strong reasons for that. Besides, there's that story about a specific mole Pedroso had, and it doesn't make sense all the kids together would invent about a mole on his body. But, it is also said he had protection from someone related to the same political party, whose initials were F.R. And yes, Catalina is right, because an appeal can't go over the facts (once proved, it's proved) but just over the law form.
ETA: And Carlos Cruz should shut up his big mouth, because he must have be forgotten of how he tried to escape Portugal via the airport of Seville. He and all the others who are crying "innocent" on TV, should be ashamed of themselves. Hope they all rot in Hell.

No doubt he deserves, but we need to separate Bibi (Silvino) from the other arguidos. Bibi was raised in Casa Pia and was abused since a tender age. That means he grew up being abused. When he was an adult, he started to abuse as well and helping those men to abuse the other children, because this was the reality he grew up with. He deserves the 18 years in jail, but comparing him who's a nobody and abused since his childhood with an Ambassador, a doctor, the former Director of Casa Pia, and a famous TV presenter, is a difficult exercise. The position of those latest is even more horrendous, because their backgrounds and education are completely different.

I don't !!!I don't hope he rots I hope he serves a full and long life, surrounded in the next 18 years by people who think paedophilia is a crime and justice is served our the prison way and not the justice way. Play station or a gangster to stuff his arse which is justice?
And if natural justice is to be served, he will end up incontinent like one of those abused children.

Re: High-profile Portugal child sex abuse 'proved'
I'm glad justice has been done, though it has taken such a long time. This case gives me hope for Jersey too, where I'm convinced abuse - and worse - of children took place for many years at Haut de la Garenne. The powers that be in Jersey have managed to cover up time and again, but some day I feel the victims there will get justice too.
PS Can't see how the McCanns could use this latest from Portugal, as of course they will never admit that Madeleine could have come to any harm because they neglected to watch over her. And even the McCanns must consider paedophiles to be harmful to children.

This is worth another read. Interesting to note Paulo Rebelo was in charge of the Pia Casa investigation.

His rule was not very relevant in the Casa Pia process. The merit is not his.

He was meant to be the be-all and end-all in the Maddie case as well. As far as I can see he was just a damp squib.

Excellent Claudia.
I hope that anyone who abuses a child is tortured by the thought of that knock on the door. I hope the creaks in the night scare them and they are perpetually looking over their shoulders.

Agree with all the above totally.
I hope life rolls a giant iceball of karma and pelts them with it very hard and very often.

TM won't be promoting this story, where Doctors are the culprits and the children involved were definately harmed and not stolen by gypsies for childless, wealthy, kind (despite the whole paying - to -steal -someone - else's- four - year - old thing) people.
Might make something of the underground passages that go beneath PDL however. That sounds very mysterious and like something that should be looked into by Edgar right away! Excepting that it is in Portugal and for some reason they don't want to fool around there any more. Also, justice being done by the PJ and investigators in PT who found the culprits, that whole thing doesn't correspond with the incompetent and corrupt PJ angle. So never mind.
Let's hear more about Wayne the builder!
