Re: I am going to have a tooth extraction
Yes, I remember my sister having to go back to Mum and Dads for a couple of days.
I suppose it depends if you have a local or general anaesthetic?

Re: I am going to have a tooth extraction
O.K. BadBoy & fred thanks for the info. fred, that was pretty drastic 5 extractions in one go!!!!!
I remember many years ago having to go to a new Dentist because I had moved. My first Son had not long been born and my teeth
were giving me problems as is normal apparently during pregnancy. The Dentist said I needed 13 Fillings!!!!!! Because of this I opted
for an injection to put me to sleep and have the fillings all in one go. With all the amalgam in my mouth I looked like that guy from the
James Bond film , can"t remember his name.,

Yes, that is right. I had a wisdom removed at the dentist 3 years ago, but it was a fully grown one,(NO probs, in and out) the ones I had removed at hospital. 3 of them still hadn't come through, so the dentist wanted to remove them as I have a very small jaw, he knew when they came through my other teeth would be pushed out of place, so he took them out. I got an infection and had three weeks off work, but hey ho, all is well that's ends well.

Re: I am going to have a tooth extraction
That was some ordeal Fred, glad you recovered well. I was always a regular visitor to the Dentist when I lived at home, every six months for a checkup and I think this other Dentist went a bit amalgam happy.!!
When I was living at home a Friend of mine who was terrified of Dentists was suffering with toothache. Another Friend and I persuaded
her to see my Dentist and promised we would be there for her to help her over the experience. Anyway, when she went into the Dentists"s room a short time later we could hear her screaming and then it went quiet. She came out of the Dentists"s room visibly
upset and I said" never mind, it"s all over now". My Dentist said " I"m afraid not , your friend was so upset I couldn"t even examine her teeth
In the end she had to go to Hospital to be sedated.
