Brad Pitt admits he smoked dope too much

The Oscar-nominated actor has revealed the dark secret of his past.

In a new interview with Hollywood Reporter, he said: "I got really sick of myself at the end of the 1990s.

"I was hiding out from the celebrity thing, I was smoking way too
much dope, I was sitting on the couch and just turning into a doughnut
and I really got irritated with myself."

Brad, who dated Gwyneth Paltrow for three years until 1997, and met Jennifer Aniston in 1998, is in a better place now.

Father to six children with Ange, the actor is celebrating his Oscar nomination in recognition of his role in Moneyball.

Up against BFF George Clooney, Brad said: "It's more fun to have a friend there. No one does it better than George.

"I say give him all the trophies, and when you run out of trophies, make some new ones and give him those, too."
