Hello everyone!

Yes, I am going to Portugal next week and conduct my search for Madeleine. I was going to postpone the trip due to the Amaral trial being delayed until April, but since I am not sure I can depend on the trial occurring then either and it cost a ridiculous sum to change my airline ticket, I am going to go ahead as planned. I will keep you updated via Twitter @ProfilerPatB and on my Facebook pages - Pat Brown and Criminal Profiler Pat Brown (please like that page and communicate with me there as my friend page is maxed out at 5000).

No matter what the McCanns do with Bennet and Amaral regarding court cases, they can't do a b****y thing about Pat........Ive a feeling the McCanns are not going to have a happy 2012..... good on you Pat

Does anyone know if Pat is still sueing the mccanns for 'interfering with her business"? I thought this was the reason she was going to Portugal and then conduct a search afterwards

Is she suing them in Portugal then?

I thought it was in America and she had a famous lawyer to conduct the case there.

I'm not sure where she is suing them. I was under the impression it was in Portugal but maybe it is in the States....no idea now but this what Pat said when she announced she was going to sue the mccanns

"Profile of the Disappearance of Madeleine McCann update: I'll be in Portugal in Feb for trial &search"

"McCann/Carter-Rucking of my book update: Attorney #AnneBremner will be representing me in upcoming legal suit #MadeleineMcCann"

"Legal suit is against the McCanns for libel and tortious interference with business."

I'm making an assumption here but since Anne Bremner is her lawyer, I think the legal action would be in the U.S.

OMG I would love to be there keela, but I dont fancy flying over there on my own.

I don't know why, but I have the strongest conviction imaginable that Pat Brown is going to find something extremely relevant.

Or maybe it will just be that she will have coverage in Portugal that just might make it to British television.

I wish Pat well - I have listened to her on American radio and she is a feisty and intelligent person. It is possible that she may come up with ideas - more importantly that she does not allow the machine that surrounds that McCanns to grind her down so that she can report without fear if she does find out anything.

There are times when I think that even if Madeleine (unfortunately I feel that there is no chance that she is alive) is found along with a letter and an audio-visual recording by the McCanns (if they were to be the culprits) stating what happened it would still be hidden from the general public.

I am reliably informed that Pat Brown is to spend her time in Portugal between PDL and Lagoa. I am going to meet her! Hopefully there will be 6 of us including me and my husband. Should be interesting. Go that lady!!

Maybe trying to establish names of 'important' people who stayed there might be a good place to investigate too. I have this feeling they are covering someone's name

Millions donated to the Fund. Millions spent by SY. Thousands on dubious private investigators, lawyers and PR and Pat Brown could unearth something albeit on a shoestring!

We've waited nearly 5 years for the truth so with all the current court cases maybe things will finally be resolved. Just in time for a 30 page supplement in the relaunched News International Sunday Sun. Garbage for the gullible.

Been reading only fo r some time but wanting to ask if Pat Brown hopes to speak to the PJ and has she said where she is going to search. Do you think the local people will help her.

Why would Pat Brown speak to the PJ?

Ive had a conversation on FB with Pat Brown today she informed me that she is going to PDL on Feb 6th and she said "**** you will like my other news what is about to come out soon" ......

Snowflake, the PJ is an investigation Police. It is not a coffee house where people drop by to chat. That said, I mean no disrespect at all towards Pat Brown. Just making it clear that the only reason Pat brown could speak to the PJ was if she had relevant information to the resolution of the case. And I'm pretty sure the PJ know more than Pat and not the other way around.

Lillyofthevalley - Thank you for your post. I look forward to Pat Brown's "other news" coming out soon. I have great faith in Pat Brown whatever she is able to discover on her visit to Portugal. I say 'great faith' because she has been on top of Madeleine's case from the beginning and has made her views known. She is in a great position in the U.S. to bring a lot of attention to whatever she has to say. Oh, if there were only more prominent people like her in the U.K. who would speak out for Madeleine. She will not be afraid to speak out on Madeleine's behalf.

While the UK is in a tizz about its news media and what it can or cannot write thank goodness that this case has a American ally to try to see through the murky waters. The worst scenario was for the McCanns to get under the skin of someone who has a proven track record in investigating criminal activity - and they did it.

It was bad enough for them that Dr Amaral is so tenacious - he could have rolled over and thought enough is enough but he is sticking to his guns. The problem for Dr Amaral and others looking to find the truth is that they are up against more than the McCanns. The Rogatory Interviews alone should have given a normal investigation carte blanche to really test the Tapas 7 statements. Some of the answers given were, for me, totally unintelligible (deliberately I hope or there is much remedial English therapy needed in a group of British born doctors), and often puerile showing scant regard for Madeleine. Sometimes I think the whole case is a bad dream and that it never happened because the truth of what happened to a young girl has been subordinated to something frankly quite sinister, in my opinion, based on what I have read from the portion of official documents released.

If nothing else I'm sure that Pat Brown will do her very best to try to figure out what may have happened.

Sorry if I moved of the point of the thread somewhat.

Ive only had hald a dozen Pm's with Pat, she doesn't gloat about what she does, she just speaks clearly and very fairly imo, I too respect her and really do think she will come up with something on her visit to PT, as said the McCanns were very silly in getting on the wrong side of Pat, she is a clever lady, and I wish her good luck with her trip.
Im hoping to try and get a friend to take the trip to PDL with me even if its just for 2-3 days.
