Re: Well said!
Thanks fred.....a very insightful Lady.
Have the McCann Team really got the Press in their pockets , willing to let the public beleive their nonsense, dredging up a "claim" from 3a's made years ago. Did the McCanns' write the script for Michael Wright? Even though the trial is supposed to be closed as the Portugese inferred out of respect for Madeleine , it is her own Parents who have yet again hogged the limelight., shame on them.!!!
"Nevertheless, I think the end is nigh, we are beginning to see the coming together of a perfect storm - the illustrious pair have trodden on butterflies worldwide and high winds are now blowing in from every direction. The trial in Lisbon must go ahead. The six months is up and no settlement has been reached. If they want 1.2m Euros of Dr. Amaral's assets they will need to give evidence. Calling questioning Counsel a 'hater' is not an adequate reply."

Re: Well said!
It is all very odd. I am sorry that Kate is sufferring from suicidal thoughts, but surely that is inevitable given that she must feel guilt somewhere deep inside at having left three children alone in a flat such that, one way or another, she lost her elder daughter. Transferring this guilt onto the policeman who tried to find out what happened to Madeleine, won't help her. Moreover, I can't see how her well known and previously well publicised suicidal thoughts, variously described, have the slightest relevance to the current civil case.

Re: Well said!
It's not "odd" comperedna, the McCanns are once again using the Press to gain sympathy which suggests they are not very confident of winning their case. Shame on the Press for publishing this nonsense , I doubt the public will believe this, with 3a's being shut down it will be difficult to prove the threat was ever made. It just shows how insecure the McCanns feel that they have to have someone to search the internet for anything that is said about them .comperedna wrote:It is all very odd. Hi wjk, so Iv'e been told. Under the circumstances I think the Judge made a big mistake knowing the McCanns are hand in glove with the Britishwjk wrote:Its not a closed court, Panda.Panda wrote: Even though the trial is supposed to be closed as the Portugese inferred out of respect for Madeleine , it is her own Parents who have yet again hogged the limelight., shame on them.!!!

Its a female judge.
No, no jury.
She seems to be on the ball from what I've read up to now.

Re: Well said!
The judge who agreed to ban Amaral's Book was young, for such an important case, I assume this lady is more experienced and will have done her Homework. I seem to remember the Portugese system allows for 3 Judges, one of whom will advise the accused if necessary.....maybe that's for a Murder case, or a different Country. I don't think I can stand much more of the McCanns wjk and hope they are hoist by their own petard......sounds good eh???wjk wrote:Its a female judge.

Re: Well said!
Well we all know WHY she didn't want a closed court now, don't we.
Woe is me on the agenda ...simple as that.
Let's see if mr amaral gets any publicity...or his witnesses.
And your right, what the hell has all this got to do with libel, I would feel suicidal too if I had lost my daughter due to my own negligence ...it's guilt that's making her feel suicidal....but not to suicidal to have the twins kept an eye on by social services off course...
It was the dogs fault that she was made arquido....blame the dogs for doing their job...and I think the thought off loseing the twins too, after all, weren't they going to flee to Spain and get the relatives to look after them?

Re: Well said!
I definitely believe they are running scared , first for trying to do a deal with Amaral, now this desperate attempt to show how the Mccanns suffered. I hope the Judge sees all the videos on youtube showing them laughing , etc.wjk wrote:Oh god, yes, lets hope something happens when Snr Amarals side take to the stand

No. And even if such a thing ever was, it would have been removed post haste. I can categorically state that 100%.Panda wrote:I definitely believe they are running scared , first for trying to do a deal with Amaral, now this desperate attempt to show how the Mccanns suffered. I'm not sure Panda is making accusations, more like she is repeating what is reported in the papers.Iris wrote:EDITEDPanda wrote:The one that was plastered in every paper todaytanszi wrote:what threat was that Panda

Then it shouldn't be too much trouble to provide a link, now should it. You want us to be the ones who end up in the Daily Mail? We have to be very careful right now, and this is not helping.Angelina wrote:I'm not sure Panda is making accusations, more like she is repeating what is reported in the papers.Iris wrote:EDITEDPanda wrote:The one that was plastered in every paper todaytanszi wrote:what threat was that Panda

Re: Well said!
There was never any threat to kidnap the twins on the 3a's.

"Mr Wright, husband of Kate McCann's cousin Anne-Marie, told the court the theories in Mr Amaral's book gave conspiracy theorists on anti-Mccann Internet forums 'focus' because he had been in charge of the botched investigation into Madeleine's disappearance.
He said: 'There were several examples of them inciting forum members to abduct one of the twins as they felt they would be able to throw some light on what may have happened.
'On one of the Internet forums, called The 3 Arguidos, there was an Internet conversation in great length where a member was suggesting that someone should abduct Sean or Amelie because they may be able to get information out of them that would confirm Mr Amaral's theory"

Re: Well said!
Yes Panda, ABDUCT. And we still only have Michael Wright's word for that. Nobody here has actually seen any proof of that, and I believe that is because there is none.

Re: Well said!
I'm sure that if any member of 3As had been interviewed by the police, we would have heard about it. If 3A's admin had been approached, likewise, we'd have heard about it. So, we're left to wonder how seriously the police took this threat since we appear to have heard nothing at the time.Iris wrote:Yes Panda, ABDUCT. A little off topic, but an interesting nugget from way back when (Monday, August 06, 2007):
Goodnight from Sydney

It has been rather an interesting night. Earlier in the evening someone tried to hijack the Shout Box, by posting under the names of regular users, including myself.
To give you an idea of how inexperienced these people are, they failed to realise that not only do I track IP addresses, but when I post, I am specially marked as administrator. Hard to believe that someone posting from an IP address that was traced to just north of Skipton, could possibly be someone posting from Sydney.
Ah well, an abuse report has gone of to the both the Shout Box host, and to the offenders ISP.
Always someone who has to spoil things - but I guess when you are trying and failing to defend the indefensible, you resort to desperate measures.
