Nobody would say that genuinely bereft parents (which does not in my opinion include the McCanns) should never smile again though.

I really would hope that a smile could be had when you have 2 younger kids to watch ,funny and cute at times ,it would be abnormal I feel not to have pleasure from other children. joyce1938

They only have to think what the lawyers and PR in two countries will cost then...and how the Amaral trial goes. Would bring tears in every bodies eyes.   

It's very strange to think that people with guilt and fear can smile at anything... even their happy, oblivious children.
