Didn't I say that earlier Claudia? The Judge told the Prosecutor it would be "too intrusive" to listen to conversations, like Hacking in the U.K for which the News of the World was charged and several big payments made to Celebrities
You said:
Phone evidence includes the pings. I wanted to make things as clear as possible. There are enough myths out there.
Amen to that!!

As SY have been parading so many dead paedos lately, I wouldn't surprised if the dig for some 'evidence', (if not the real thing/dead paedo) that one of their dead paedos was there.

I would like to think that the digging includes that South African's theory about a body buried in the garden of a nearby house. We surely can't be expected to believe all this nonsense for much longer. In an earlier post it said SY will start digging when permission is given by the Portugese, do you think the Portugese will agree???

I don't think so. The Portugese have withstood such a lot of nonsense from SY, certainly have no time for them , so why should they agree to this latest whim possibly causing disruption to Residents ......who is intended to pay for it???

Re: plan to use radar equipment to look underground
imo something must have been found already some item or thing that will have been looked at over and over , didnt portugal say they would only reopen the case if it was worth doing so ? also portugal are NOT going to make the same mistakes again are they they have had a right kick in by our press , now if they have found something they will need to make sure they are right in what they believe , only when they have something big would they proceed further with the dig , they might now have all the pieces to this jiksaw apart from one and that is where is madeleine , we already know that 15 out of 19 markers was found , they will want 19 out of 19

Morning Cass, maybe this is from info that OPORTO found in their investigation and SY are taking credit....wouldn't put it past them. Permission has not yet been given by the Portugese , so don't hold your breath.

I have wondered if the British taxpayer is meeting all the costs including those of the PJ.

Morning jassi,
I remember even before this investigation started that Portugal had spent almost E1 million on the McCann case. I think they were too soft with the McCanns by not demanding a recon .....why would the Tapas Group even ASK whether it would be helpful when they knew little Madeleine and her Parents and would want to do all they could to help.??? I think if OPORTO has not come up with anything new in it's Report the Portugese should close the case NOW!!!!! If the McCanns want to carry on a private search and employ expert Detectives like they did the last time, that's up to them . The residents of Portugal deserve some peace.

Yes, I just heard the Reprorter's News.
Apparently SY willl work with the Portugese but not be in charge,. The Reporter said the fact that it is digging suggests it is a body they are expecting to find. The McCanns have made little comment

This explains Kate's interview where she talks about death.
After all, police don't tend to dig up living things after seven years......

Yep, it all falls into place now! We wondered why she was admitting it, now we know.

So if the cadaver dogs find a body, does that mean the dogs are still unreliable.

That would obviously depend on the outcome of the autopsy, if it implicates the Tapas 9 then yes, the dogs are still notoriously unreliable, if it implicates Monteiro (or whoever) then the dogs will be back to having a 100% record.

That was the GNR dog trail done initially, not the EVRD

I would think a different set of dogs will be used , not privately owned but owned by Police. However, this radar equipment may mean dogs are not needed. diggers will be used where the Radar beeps.
