There fact that a lot the requests were declined is neither here nor there, however it does show the interesting angles that the media (Or possibly those connected with the Mccanns) have been trying to approach with regard to the Mccanns. Of note there seems to be a lot of questions about david payne!

I would like information regarding an accusation against David Payne and Gerry McCann that they were involved in inappropriate behaviour in relation to 2 minors on 2 occasions made to the Leicester police in May 2007 by 2 close Dr friends of Kate and Gerry McCann. The accusation is available on the released DVD case files of the Portuguese police in the investigation of the disappearance of Madeleine Beth McCann on the 3rd of May 2007.
The accusation although detailed in the DVD, it does not however state what if any investigative work was carried out in this case or why the information was withheld from the Portuguese police for a period or around 5 months.

Freedom of Information Request: Credit and debit cards of the parents of Madeleine Beth McCann
At page 188 in Chapter 19 of the recently published book "A Verdade da Mentira" ( “The Truth of the Lie) written by Dr Amaral, the former detective of the Portuguese Criminal Investigation Division who, until 2 October 2007, was the leader of the Portuguese inquiry into the disappearance of Madeleine Beth McCann in Portugal, it is alleged that the British police assisting the inquiry affirmed that neither of the parents of Madeleine Beth McCann possessed any credit or debit cards despite there having been two credit card payments made by them one to pay for airfares; the other for the hiring of the Renault Scenic.
This is a request for information, namely for any record or document or extract thereof reporting or evidencing that neither of the parents of Madeleine Beth McCann possessed any credit card or debit card from any financial institution during the period in which any police officer from Leicester Constabulary assisted in the inquiry into the disappearance of Madeleine Beth McCann.
The request additionally seeks any record or document or extract thereof reporting or evidencing that the alleged affirmation was made by any police officer from the Leicestershire Constabulary to the Portuguese inquiry team, and, failing the existence of any written record, whether any such affirmation was made verbally by any police officer from the Leicestershire Constabulary to the Portuguese inquiry team and, if so, the name of that/those officer(s).
It seeks further, recognising the exemptions described in the Freedom of Information Act and the fact that the Portuguese inquiry into the disappearance of Madeleine Beth McCann was suspended in that country on 21 July 2008, any record or document or extract thereof reporting or evidencing the date, time, vendor and value of any credit card or debit card transactions known by the Leicestershire Constabulary to have been made by either of the parents of Madeleine Beth McCann during the period between 4 May 2007 and 21 July 2008.
This request for information does not seek any further detailed information in respect of known credit or debit card transactions beyond the requested date, time, vendor and value thereof.

A SERIES OF SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE PUBLIC IN DR AMARALS BOOK " A VERDADE DA MENTIRA". THESE ALLEGATIONS RAISE SERIOUS QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ROLE AND INTENTIONS OF BRITISH POLICE FORCES AND JUSTICE AUTHORITIES DURING THE COURSE OF THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MADELEINE MCCANN ON 3RD MAY 2007 IN THE ALGARVE.
THESE ALLEGATIONS ARE ACCORDING TO THE AUTHOR OF THE BOOK CONTAINED IN THE INVESTIGATION FILES OF THE INQUIRY NOW ARCHIVED BY THE PORTUGUESE AUTHORITIES AND AVAILABLE FOR CONSULTATION BY INTERESTED PARTIES FROM MID AUGUST.
IT WOULD APPEAR PERTINENT TO SEEK CLARIFICATION IF THE SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS CONTAINED IN THE MENTIONED BOOK, SUGGESTING UNDUE INTERFERENCE AND DELIBERATE LACK OF COOPERATION BY BRITISH AUTHORITIES ARE FOUNDED OR NOT. SHOULD THESE ALLEGATIONS BE UNFOUNDED IT IS PERTINENT TO ALSO SEEK CLARIFICATION IF THE BRITISH AUTHORITIES MENTIONED IN THESE ALLEGATIONS WILL CHALLENGE THEM.
BELOW IS A LIST OF THE QUESTIONS RAISED BY THE BOOK AND THAT WOULD MERIT A CLARIFICATION:
A. BRITISH POLICE FORCES HAVE HELD BACK FOR 6 MONTHS A WITNESS STATEMENT GIVEN IN THE UK ABOUT DAVID PAYNE AND THAT APPEARS RELEVANT TO THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MADELEINE MCCANN LED BY THE PORTUGUESE POLICIA JUDICIARIA. WILL THE LEICESTERSHIRE CONSTABULARY CLARIFY IF IT IS CUSTOMARY FOR WITNESS STATEMENTS TO TAKE 6 MONTHS BEFORE THEY ARE SHARED WITH THE POLICE FORCE LEADING THE INQUIRY INTO A CHILDS DISAPPEARANCE?
B. IT IS ALLEGED THAT THE ESS HAS PRODUCED CONTRADICTORY INTERPRETATIONS AS TO THE RESULTS OF THE TESTS CARRIED OUT ON VESTIGES FOUND IN THE APARTMENT AND RENTAL CAR USED BY THE MCCANN FAMILY WHILST IN THE ALGARVE. IT IS FURTHER ALLEGED IN THE BOOK THAT THE FSS HAS REFUSED TO RETURN SOME MATERIAL FOR SECOND ANALYSIS IN OTHER INTERNATIONAL LABS. THESE ALLEGATIONS RAISE DOUBTS OVER THE INDEPENDENCE AND CREDIBILITY OF THE FSS. WILL THE FSS CLARIFY IF THESE ALLEGATIONS ARE FOUNDED AND WILL THE INSTITUTION SEEK APPROPRIATE REDRESS SHOULD THESE DAMAGING ALLEGATIONS BE INNACURATE?
C. IT IS ALLEGED THAT THE BRITISH AUTHORITIES (NOT SPECIFIED) HAVE REFUSED TO PROVIDE THE PORTUGUESE AUTHORITIES WITH THE MEDICAL RECORDS OF MADELEINE MCCANN THAT WERE ALLEGEDLY REQUESTED. WILL THE HOME OFFICE CLARIFY IF THIS INFORMATION WAS REQUESTED OR NOT BY PORTUGUESE AUTHORITIES WITHIN THE REMIT OF THE ROGATORY LETTERS, AND WHICH IF ANY, HAVE BEEN THE OBSTACLES TO PROVIDING THIS INFORMATION TO THE LEADING INVESTIGATIVE AUTHORITIES IN PORTUGAL?
D. IT IS ALLEGED THAT THE BRITISH AUTHORITIES REPORTED ON REQUEST OF THE PORTUGUESE AUTHORITIES THAT DRS GERALD AND KATE MCCANN DID NOT POSSESS CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS. DR GERALD MCCANN HAS PUBLISHED IN HIS BLOG REFERENCES TO THE POSSESSION OF BANK CARDS. WILL THE LEICESTERSHIRE POLICE CONFIRM THAT AS A RESULT OF ITS INVESTIGATION IT COULD NOT FIND ANY EVIDENCE THAT DRS MCCANN OWNED ANY BANK CARDS?
E. IT IS ALLEGED THAT BRITISH AUTHORITIES HAVE NOT PROVIDED ANY
BACKGROUND INFORMATION TO THE PORTUGUESE AUTHORITIES LEADING THE INQUIRY CONCERNING THE FINANCIAL SITUATION OF THE SUSPECTS IN THE INVESTIGATION DRS GERALD AND KATE MCCANN. WILL THE HOME OFFICE CONFIRM IF THIS INFORMATION WAS REQUESTED BY THE PORTUGUESE AUTHORITIES AND WHAT PREVENTED THE TRANSMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION TO THE INVESTIGATION AUTHORITIES IN PORTUGAL?
F. IT IS ALLEGED THAT BRITISH POLICE OFFICERS STATIONED IN PORTUGAL TOWORK WITH THE PORTUGUESE POLICIA JUDICIARIA IN THE INVESTIGATION ON THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MADELEINE MCCANN HAVE ABANDONED PORTUGAL IMMEDIATELY AFTER DRS KATE AND GERAL MCCANN RETURNED TO PORTUGAL AND WHILST THE INVESTIGATION WAS STILL ONGOING. WILL THE HOME OFFICE CLARIFY WHAT WAS THE MISSION OF BRITISH POLICE OFFICERS SECONDED TO PORTUGAL? WAS THE DUTY OF THOSE OFFICERS TO ACT AS LIAISON BETWEEN THE ORS MCCANN AND THE PORTUGUESE POLICE; IN WHICH CASE IT WOULD BE UNDERSTANDABLE TO ABANDON PORTUGAL AFTER THE DRS MCCANN. WAS THE DUTY OF THOSE OFFICERS TO COOPERATE IN THE INVESTIGATION LED BY THE PORTUGUESE AUTHORITIES; IN WHICH CASE IT WOULD BE EXPECTED THAT THEY WOULD ABANDON PORTUGAL ONCE THE INVESTIGATION WAS CONCLUDED. IF THE MISSION OF THE BRISISH POLICE OFFICERS WAS TO ACT AS LIAISON OFFICERS BETWEEN PORTUGUESE POLICE AND THE MCCANNS WILL THE HOME OFFICE CLARIFY IF IT IS CUSTOMARY FOR BRITISH DETECTIVES TO BE SECONDED TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES TO ASSIST BRITISH
CITIZENS?

Denied = 9
Outstanding = 1
Satisfied – 2
Satisfied and Denied – 1
Satisfied and Information Not held – 2
Neither Confirm Nor Deny - 15
Request
1/ Do the Leicestershire police agree with the McCann website that a man seen by a Mrs. G. Cooper probably abducted Madeleine?
2/ Is there any information that any particular man was "Madeleines probable abductor?"
3/ If so, why has this information never been released to the public?
4/ If not, how can they be helping the search for Madeleine by referring the public to a dishonest website that makes that claim?
5/ Are the Leicestershire police going to continue to aid a deception or are they either going to remove the website link or insist the McCanns remove the false statement?
Response – No information provided except for the following statement
A number of law enforcement agencies, including Leicestershire Constabulary, have a link to the 'Find Madeleine' website. Whilst we encourage anyone with information about Madeleine's whereabouts to contact the Portuguese police or their local police, we recognise the fact that some people may not feel comfortable in doing so. This link provides them with an alternative means of passing information.
We are unable to provide the information that you request concerning the number of complaints regarding the website link.
What must be borne in mind is that at the heart of this tragic case is an innocent little girl who went missing in May 2007. Our focus has, and will always be, to do everything we can to assist our Portuguese colleagues who lead the investigation into Madeleine's disappearance. I would hope that you will support us in this.
Request (Received 15 times)
a. How many objections have you received to date to Leicestershire Police continuing to link the Madeleine McCann Missing Persons page to the McCanns Find Madeleine Fund;
b. Whose decision is it to keep that link on the website;
and
c. On what date did that person or those persons last review that decision?

If the McCanns inform their investigators, but not necessarily the police of any new leads they may obtain from that website, why does Leicestershire Constabulary think it appropriate to provide the link to the "Find Madeleine Fund"?
I would also be interested to know if many people have objected about the link to the "Find Madeleine Fund" being on the Leicester police website, and, whether the decision to keep the link there, will be reviewed in the near future.

WITNESS who sparked the hunt for a scarf aced suspect in the Madeleine McCann abduction has NEVER been questioned by police.
The woman twice saw a man dubbed "Mr Ugly" loitering near the McCann holiday apartment before Maddie, three, vanished.
She reported the sightings to British cops when she returned home from Portugal, but they failed to follow up her lead. It was only when she received an emotional phone call from Maddies mum Kate, 41, nearly two years later that a photo-fit based on her description was put together.
The angry mum-of-two, 36, who has asked not to be identified, was in an apartment three doors from the McCanns. She said yesterday: "I feel vital time has been lost. Every day I hope Madeleine is found safe.
"When Kate asked me to help, I agreed immediately. But the police should have asked two years ago."
It was only after Kate got in touch that the woman learnt two other witnesses saw an identical man in the resort of Praia da Luz in May 2007. She said: "I cant believe our three sightings werent linked earlier. It took the McCanns to do that."
The weirdo so unnerved her that she pulled her three-year-old daughter away. Back in England, she told her local police in Wiltshire.
They passed her report to Kate and Gerry McCanns local force in Leicestershire. She
said: ~I heard nothing from them."
The woman who featured in a TV documentary about Maddie last week, finally gave her description to the McCanns own investigators.
I am contacting you regarding a disturbing report I read in the Sun newspaper (I have enclosed the relevant information below)
I hold the British police in high regard, but I am concerned over the report that vital information was passed on to you and apparently, nothing was done about it. This
is the impression this report gives, however, I understand that this may of course,
not be the case.
While I do not expect you to reveal the nuts and bolts, I feel I am entitled to know if this report was passed on immediately to the Policia Judiciaria? (PJ) By immediately, I would like to know the actual date and time it was passed on to the Portuguese police and by what communication process, ie telephone, email or letter or fax etc.
This report by this lady could have been absolutely vital to the enquiry into the whereabouts of the child Madeleine McCann, as it was made at the time the Portuguese investigation was in its infancy and time of the essence.

ITV news would like to request information concerning the investigation into Madeline McCanns disappearance in Portugal.
In particular, ITV news would like to acquire any material, correspondence that were conducted with the portugese police during 2007.
ITV news would also like to acquire any correspondence that either Leicestershire police or the met police had with the Home Office in relation to Madelines disappearance.
ITV news would also like to acquire transcripts of any interviews that were held with the McCanns or other witnesses
And any information that you now consider no longer part of an ongoing investigation.

This request went to the Information Commissioner for adjudication who ruled as follows
I wrote to the complainant on 9 November 2010 to detail my initial findings and invite the complainant to withdraw her complaint as the Commissioner would be unlikely to issue a Decision Notice ordering disclosure of the requested information due to the fact that section 30(1) of the Act would be engaged.
I can confirm that the case has now been closed because I have not received a response to my letter dated 9 November 2010 or chaser email of 26 November 2010. The Commissioner considers this complaint to have been withdrawn and has closed the case with as abandoned.
Request
1. Whether information from people describing themselves as a psychic/clairvoyant/medium was requested, or accepted, or followed up by the police.
2. a) If so, please provide a breakdown of any costs incurred, if any, by the force (e.g. payment of fees/expenses) relating to the use of psychics in conjunction with this case.
b) Please also provide details of any assistance they gave in conjunction with this case.

My questions relate to Leicestershire police and the Madeleine McCann investigation.
How much has been spent by Leicestershire police in the year 08-09 in assisting the Portuguese-led investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann? It has been reported that the force spent £548,477 in 07-08. Is this figure correct? And how were these sums spent?
In January the Home Office said that "..work continues on Madeleines disappearance, led in the UK by Leicestershire police. They are continuing to explore all possible steps for further progressing the investigation drawing on a range of UK policing resources and liaising with the Portuguese authorities, who continue to lead on the overall investigation, as appropriate."
What are "all possible steps for further progressing the investigation?"
How many Leicestershire police officers are actively involved in the case?
What is the range of UK policing resources?
What has been spent in the year 09-10, to date?

SUBJECT: MCCANN CASE, INTERFERENCE BY BRITISH GOVERNMENT AND POLICE IN THE FAVOUR OF TWO EX MAIN SUSPECTS, AND UNSUPPORTED ACTION (in evidence) THAT MISLEAD INTERPOL VIA Police Officer Mr JOHN SHORD
As I am interested in the Madeleine McCann case, I have come across this document and article, on which the described actions had taken many countries' police bodies into different directions, using a consirable amount of time and money -as ALL bodies were mobilised by Interpol, solely upon the alert risen by the British police, as the document and press article extract show below.
I have searched further, I have realised that this precise part of investigation, soon discarded by the Portuguese Police [P.J.], had also come to a dead end since Interpol closed this particular investigation after 2 months of vain efforts.
Like many people, I have always, since the 3rd May 2007, been concerned as to what has really happened to this child, so upon these precise facts I am wondering what exactly had caused such havoc, vain efforts, pulling of huge organisation among the Interpol to follow a track hat was taken so seriously by the British police (Leicester). The normality demands that to take such a decisive step (following one track or another, if the wrong one then the Investigation can be seriously hindered and damaged, with wasted time and resources, as the case here) implies having a solid back-up in EVIDENCE.
Since that the matter is public (the PJ files are public since July 2008 and the British media have always been asked to publicise every detail in the case, much of the British police work being also public - like with this present document or the McCanns' "Leaving No Stone Unturned" unlimited company - fund also being public on the ground that it is entirely relying on public donations), I am asking to know which evidence was/were followed in this decision.
There is mention of a PHOTOGRAPH that a "stranger-abductor" HAS taken of the Child Madeleine McCann. Now this is written in black upon white in the British police files (see attached photograph-document), therefore I have been looking for it in an extensive internet search, thinking that the British police must have made this public by now, etc.
The mentioned photograph , if it ever existed, would have NO PRIVATE characteristic, since it is supposed to have been taken in the open, by a stranger (stranger to the McCanns couple, parents of Madeleine McCann), 3 days before the Child went missing. - or if else, the public (like myself) would like to know what exactly the photo is about.
But, I cannot find, anywhere, any such photo, nor any proof of what was so seriously stated, on any Belgian paedophile ring with elements of Madeleine's whereabouts or temporarily presence, on the demonstration that this was to be taken "to the letter",
or the evidence that the alleged photo WAS taken 3 days before Maddie's missing/ sad event,
or on the proof that a stranger was taking photographs of random/targetted children in public places. I have children too so I think it is reasonnable to enquire about this, as entitled BY LAW to some clear information in these matters.
-I do not see, either, hence I am asking WHY no information is available regarding the following matters, by the present letter:
any official reporting to the local police by the parents who did state that their child was photographed by stranger(s) PREVIOUS TO THE "MISSING" DAY. (The McCanns never reported this but said it to the press first a while after...)
any process towards these parents who, despite this imminent "danger", still left their 3 children under the age of three UNATTENDED in a holiday flat abroad, with an unlocked door.
any process towards these parents who admitted having taken a forbidden substance to Portugal: CALPOL (CALPOL is not permitted there), and did not immediately request a medical test on Madeleine's siblings while suspecting that all their three children may have been "drugged-up by the abductor(s)".
any process/other action to try or test/investigate the accusations stated by a lady doctor, (former?) friend of the McCanns / social circle: Mrs Gaspar, regarding Mr David Payne and Gerald McCann, involving talks, codes and gestures of a paedophile nature. Mr Gerald McCann, whom I repeat IS involved in these accusations, is a PUBLIC NHS practionner, therefore the public, and myself included, are wholy entitled to know the truth in this alarming matter.
a complete investigation towards the PUBLIC FUND (www.findmadeleine.com).
I therefore require the right to know -and see- the evidence I have mentioned in the first part of this mail, and secondly, to know why the investigation was in such an obvious way mislead, and thirdly, to know why the facts, crimes and accusations, which are all very worrying for parents in general, and which are listed in the last part of this present letter, have not be dealt with the standard way in the British and Portuguese procedures. The fact that I want to see clear information in these matters implies that a proper, appropriate, efficient, competent and satisfying investigation gets - at last- conducted, regardless of the Portuguese decision of archiving the case. Many of these points can legally be dealt in England so I cannot understand why they are still not, and am demanding that all gets investigated in a normal, standard way as soon as possible, in the Name of Madeleine Beth McCann and All the other Children in this country.
Also, what were Control Risk and the Bell Pottinger Group (which specialises in Reputation Management!) were doing there in Praia Da Luz, HELPING THE MCCANNS,- and so early? -within the first day after the "abduction". Why did the McCanns need REPUTATION SPECIALISTS to protect themselves? This did nothing to look for the Child of her "abductor(s)". These groups were from the UK so again an in-depth investigation is needed in this matter. Will it happen? Will the public know about it?
THIS is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read from a police officer and I demand that Mr SHORD explains it: "Met officer John Shord wrote the email to Leicestershire Police on March 4 which was passed on to Operation Task â€" the British end of the investigation into Madeleine McCann.
It said: "Intelligence suggests that a paedophile ring in Belgium made an order for a young girl three days before Madeleine McCann was taken.
"Somebody connected to this group saw Maddie, took a photograph of her and sent it to Belgium. The purchaser agreed that the girl was suitable and Maddie was taken." DC John Hughes, from Leicestershire Police, forwarded the email to the Policia Judiciaria (PJ) at Portimao in the Algarve on April 21, the files showed."
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/madeleinemccann/2512536/Madeleine-McCann-was-snatched-by-paedophile-ring-to-order.html
How could any intelligent, trained officer in the high police STATE without proof that "therefore she was taken" and.... all the rest. It's obvious to a large majority of people that it is the McCanns themselves who have decided to implant this invention from the start into Mr J. SHORD's mind and possibly they had connection previous to this case??? In any case it is malpractice. I want to know why such malpractice has been done and tolerated without a check. I do not need any play on words or jest explanations thank you or I will do the necessary for the truth to emerge, AS IT IS A MATTER OF PUBLIC INTEREST WITH THE FIND MADELEINE FUND.

Early in May. 2007 you communicated with an unspecified colleague regarding several photographs taken by Dr K.. McCann, of yachts moored at Lagos Marina. 'This communication took the form of a a handwritten note (see copy enc1osed~) explaining how and why the photographs had come into your possession. Archived by the Portuguese in black and white, these images presumably existed as colour pictures at some stage.
Could you please advise:
(i) when these photographs were received by yourself (the covering memo refers to a.
handover 'today' but is otherwise undated).
(ii) the medium in which these photographs were provided to you in the ffirst instance
(i.e., in the form of colour prints, digital memory card, USB stick, etc.).
(iii) when, approximately, they were passed to the Portuguese authorities~, and by whom
(your own memo is not worded so as to accompany them)
(iv) whether they were delivered to your Portuguese counterparts in their original format,
or 'translated' (e.g. printed/copied) beforehand, assuming that they were in fact passed on
by yourself or a police colleague.

I have written and published a book on the Madeleine McCann disappearance and I wondered if you can confirm a few details about Operation Task?
I understand Operation Task is an ongoing investigation and as such you may be unable to go into much detail. However, my queries are really very simple and I do not believe I am requesting anything that would be considered sensitive.
The rogatory interviews conducted on the McCann’s friends in April 2008 are leaked on the Internet in numerous websites.
Are the leaked rogatory interviews authentic?
Were the documents leaked deliberately, and if so, did this result in an internal investigation to discover why or how they were leaked?
On October 24, 2007, DC Mike Marshall emailed Ricardo Paiva in Portugal with details of a witness statement he took from David and Fiona Payne. This 2-page letter was the frontispiece to 2 witness statements made by the Gaspars on May 16, 2007. In the 2-page letter, DC Marshall mentions a time (17H00) as it being the time that David Payne went to apartment 5A.
Was this time of 17H00 correct or was it a mistake and should it be 19H00?
There is an assumption from reading DC Marshall’s letter that David and Fiona Payne made witness statements to Leicestershire Police and those statements—if indeed there were extra statements—appear to be missing from the Portuguese police file released to the public in 2008. Do such "extra" statements exist or was DC Marshall referring to the Payne statements made in Portugal in May 2007?
Did DC Mike Marshall leave the Leicestershire force and go to Thames Valley Police?

Re: Leicestershire Police has released its F.O.I Disclosure Logs about the Mccann's
Have I been on another planet or have I totally missed detail of the following:
Further inappropriate behaviour in relation to 2 minors. Or is this related to the conversation and the gesture at the dinner table RE: Madeleine?
information regarding an accusation against David Payne and Gerry McCann that they were involved in inappropriate behaviour in relation to 2 minors on 2 occasions made to the Leicester police in May 2007 by 2 close Dr friends of Kate and Gerry McCann. The accusation is available on the released DVD case files of the Portuguese police in the investigation of the disappearance of Madeleine Beth McCann on the 3rd of May 2007.

Not had chance to read through them all yet. Have any of the questions been answered? As you say Keela, it seems pointless having a Freedom of Information Act when information requested is held back.
Some very interesting questions on this list and wouldn't be surprised if some of them had been submitted by the McCanns themselves to find out what info LP have.
Did LP have to release these questions or was it their decision to do so?

Hallelujah!!! They answered a question!!!!
Request
1. AT THE PRESENT TIME (AT THE POINT WHEN THIS EQI WAS PROCESSED) HOW MANY POLICE OFFICERS AT LEICESTERSHIRE CONSTABULARY ARE WORKING IN ANY FORM ON THE CASE OF THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MADELEINE MCCANN? COULD THE DATE WHEN THE EQI WAS PROCESSED PLEASE BE PROVIDED? IE. 15 OFFICERS ON CASE 10 FEB 2008
2. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE LEICESTERSHIRE POLICE OFFICERS FORMALLY INTERVIEWED THE MCCANNS OVER THE DISAPPEARANCE OF THEIR DAUGHTER MADELEINE?
3. WHO IS CURRENTLY LEADING LEICESTERSHIRE POLICES INVESTIGATION INTO THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MADELEINE MCCANN.
Response – No information Provided save for question 3
Since Madeleine McCann's disappearance, we together with other UK Law Enforcement Agencies have been working closely with the Portuguese Authorities. We continue to support the Portuguese Police with their investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine.
D/Superintendent Stuart Prior oversees the co-ordination of UK based enquiries which are carried out on behalf of the Portuguese Police. This is just one of his roles as a Senior Investigating Officer within Leicestershire Constabulary

LP's refusal to answer none of the questions, save one or two, does make them look like they have something to hide. Why can they not be open and answer these straightforward questions that have been put to them by members of the public? Their refusal to provide information requested under the Freedom of Information will not stop the public asking questions...if anything it will fuel suspicions that they are being protected by the authorities.

I totally agree. Only someone who has something to hide goes to great lengths to avoid answering questions.

Unless of course you dont want informaton to be widely known. If you have bits of a puzzle but dont know what they are you put them to one side until you get that piece that ties them all together. Maybe thats what is happening in this case, excuse me while I pour another cup of hope.

I don't think that the questions ,would have a hope in Hell to be replyed to . After all this had been a part of investigation ,if answered to ,would have upset the PJ,after all it was their case and still is really.it would been really odd to have all these questions repied to when there was somuch to investigate .doesn't surprise me at all joyce1938
