Gerry - Mr Popularity Empty Gerry - Mr Popularity

Post  Keela Mon 30 Jan - 13:15

I visited my dentist this morning ( great way to start the week and a Monday). He told me that his wife's cousin works at Glenfield and every time Gerry walks into a room, anyone in there walks out! Apparently no-one there likes him, wants to have anything to do with him, associate with him in any way or speak to him! Must be nice for him to have so many friends!

The receptionist at the surgery is engaged to the cousin of one of the GNR officers and has told them things which didn't make the British press. Will have to see what I can find out! My dentist doesn't believe a word of what they have said, is totally for Amaral and the PJ and GNR, he also said that he believes that they were there for something other than a normal holiday and that the British Government protected someone and is continuing to do so. his nurse this morning firmly believes as well that there is more to this than meets the eye.

I gave him the address of the forum and he said that he is going to register. Hopefully he will let us in on what he knows which we may not!

Good to hear Keela. I`ve always been suspicious of anyone that says they like the man - IMO it suggests they are either being coerced, they have similar tendencies, or are blinded by the sentimentality of supposed victims.

I've never been fooled by the 'support' from the public, that is propaganda to stop people abusing them to their face the big sissys. The 'support' from the Summer of 2007 is long gone as the donations to the fund show. Who'd want to associate with child neglectors?

Just as l suspected they are social pariahs.

Gerry - Mr Popularity 306321 Fred!!! I hope he joins too. The conversation arose because it was his birthday this weekend and he and his wife and children went to Lisbon for the weekend. I said " you took the kids with you?" and he said yes, he couldn't do what the McCanns do ( or words to that effect, I can't quite remember. I was in the chair with my mouth wide open!!!) and that set it off.

its like when an article appears in a paper, say the Daily Mail there are quite a few of the 'what caring parents keeping up the search' type of post and then a blitz of red arrows showing disapproval. No disapproving comments are allowed and before you know it the article disappears so only support is allowed and no one is allowed to post the facts. Thank god for forums like this where intelligent and clever people who can search for the truth share their knowledge with thickos like me.

Everyone I have spoken to about this case have always voiced the same thought there is something fishy about the parents and why would you leave 3 babies alone in a block of flats to go out for a meal. As one said to me if you dash across the road in the UK for a bottle of milk you are up for neglect.

If people did walk out of the room when Gerry walked in, he's arrogant enough to think that they were all showing the big man how keen they were to get back to work.

I do worry you've made the receptionist a bit easy to identify here, especially if someone works there.. Couldn't you change it to staff member or something? Probably too late now.

I've often wondered if he had a private practice; I've only read that he works at the hospital. I'm not sure how the health care service works in the U.K. If he was "assigned" to a patient, can the patient request a substitute? If so, I wonder if anyone is keeping a tally of the numbers who refuse to be seen by him. Despite his boasting about treating the passenger on his first flight back to the U.K. from Portugal, (and I would have thought we'd have heard from this person by now) I can't imagine anyone being comfortable around him, let alone being treated by him.

NHS consultants are also allowed to undertake private practice Interested. If you are in a private health scheme you may often be referred to an NHS consultant but as his/her private atient. If there is a long waiting list to see your NHS consultant people very often pay a few hundred quid to see the same NHS consultant but weeks or months sooner. Here are the ground rules under which the NHS permits its consultants to do private work. It is a way the consultants supplement their salary - if they are good enough that is.

I think that Gerry is now away from all NHS patients now being sponsored by a research grant. I am sure someone has more details on that but I do know before that, his private consultancy work dried up for whatever reason!!!!

Not to worry - brazen begging in the guise of raising funds to search for their misplaced daughter seems to have filled the void.

Hi NoStone, yes indeed I have just been back onto the website of the private health group he worked for and his name is removed.
