Gedda McScam is tortured by guilt that Magdalena's disappearance is his fault.
In an interview with Fanity Vair, he also admitted there was only a "slim" chance his daughter was alive - the closest he has come to conceding the fact - considering the Fund has yet to break through the two million pound mark.

"I wish I hadn't gone to the tapas bar," Mr McCann told the comic. "I wish I hadn't gone to the tapas bar and got absolutely blathered. I wish I'd stayed in the apartment that night on the off chance of a quickie with Rachel. I wish I'd stayed in the room five minutes longer, she may a offered a blów job at the very least."

"Of course we feel guilty about not having been there and that is just something we have to deal with for the rest of our lives. We live this 24 hours a day whilst checking the Fund total and reading submitted film scripts."

Mr McScam, 39, gave the interview alone in October, without his wife Kath, who was still nursing a hangover, after being approached by the comic.

Fanity Vair also spoke to the couple's friends and family as well as to the other suspect in the case, Robert The Rat.

Mr McScam's sister, Fat Fill, told the comic that he had called her on the night Magdalena vanished just has she was in the middle of polishing off six of Greggs Steak Bakes, and sobbed: "It's all my fault, because Kath and I went out swinging."

Clarence ‘The Cross Eyed Lion’ Mitchell, the family's ‘no comment’ spokesman, said Mr McScam had not been paid by Fanity Vair and had instead requested donations to the fund in return for cooperation with future projects, these being on set photographs when the movie goes into pre-production.

He said the Find Madalena campaign was to take on a "commercial dimension" to keep it in the black. It emerged on Tuesday that the couple could make £2million from a film about Magdalena's disappearance.

Other projects could include a book deal and even TV chat shows which the McScams have shunned in the past for fear of seeming like celebrities, God forbid!

The £1.2million fund to finance the search for Magdalena has been halved by the cost of hiring those clowns masquerading as private detectives, running adverts and paying the family's living costs, and the purchase of a Chelsea Tractor.

Only £600,000 remains and the balance is expected to drop to only £346,000 by April and possibly zero by June.

In the Fanity Vair interview, Mr McScam, from Rothley in Leicestershire, said: "I know now that, probably, the chances of getting Magdalena back are slim, which cannot be said abut my sister.

"You might never see her again. But still you have the hope the Fund will break through two million. Still."

He told how he sank into a depression after his daughter's disappearance from a resort villa in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3. He said the world then seemed "starless and bible-black, with maybe tiny points of light which represented the million pounds".

But the consultant cardiologist said he pulled himself out of the "darkest hours" by throwing himself into Foremark Reservoir, only to be pulled out by passing schoolboys. "Grief washes over you - it's like a big wave, mostly I was able to beat it back with the thought of an overseas property portfolio.

"We can't cry our eyes out every day, because that's not helping to keep the Police running around chasing up bogus sightings; that’s if they have time after taking three hours over lunch. So after three days I picked myself up - quicker than Kath could, although to be fair she had drank more than me."

He conceded that his wife remained "fragile, this way up" and had struggled to deal with the loss of Magdalena, who vanished a few days before her fourth birthday, in other words she was three, but quite capable of looking after her brother and sister.

The couple, who are both suspects in their daughter's disappearance, insist she was taken from her bed while they went out on the lash with friends nearby.

Portuguese secrecy laws mean they are not allowed to speak directly about the investigation, or the events of May 3, but Fat Fill did all their talking for them.

Mr McScam told Fanity Vair writer Judy Backache: "I can't talk to you about the details of what happened.

"I live under threat from the Portuguese - if I do talk - of two years' imprisonment. And may even sleep with the fishes"

But Tosh Cameroon, Mr McScam's sister, told Fanity Vair of Kath's dramatic reaction when policeman Ricardo Privardo told her she was being made a suspect.

She said Kath screamed at the officer: "Do you honestly believe that I would murder my own child, to make lots of money?" Recardo declined to comment.

The McScams were interviewed and formally named as suspects on September 7 and Mrs McScam was allegedly offered a two-year jail sentence if she confessed to accidentally killing Magdalena and hiding her body.

Mrs Cameroon said Kath, a 39-year-old family doctor, sort of, rejected the deal saying: "I'm not going to fúcking lie, you dégo spic bástard!"

The couple's psychologist, Alan Poke, who counselled them every day for a fortnight in May, said Mrs McScam was threatened with losing her other children, two-year-old twins Steve and Amy.This rather appealed to Kath, but thought better of it.

Mr McCann also spoke about the many ludicrous theories surrounding the youngster's disappearance which have circulated in the media.

He said: "Kath killed her in a frenzy, Magdalena was sedated by us, she fell down the stairs - in which case you would have thought they'd have found her body; fingers crossed, they never will!

"There have been a huge number of theories in the media. But what I want to know is - who told them all that? My money’s on Mitch at the moment."

The piece also carries a comment from Con Jorner, a family friend who just happens to have 32 bit film recording equipment. He said he was with Kath McCann in Portugal, hoping to get some action with her in August, she had told him she wished she could "roll back time" to the day before the abduction, then she could have caught Gedda with the aerobics instructor over in Burgau.

He said Mrs McScam had told him: "I would slow down time. I would get a really good look around that fitness centre and have a really good think. And I'd think: Where are you? Who are you? Who is secretly screwing my husband? Because someone was watching my husband very, very carefully. And taking £20 notes from him."

Ms Backache also spoke to Robert The Rat, the other official suspect in the investigation besides the McScams, but realised that his version of events counted for nothing, therefore have not appeared in this article.

Callisto - just for you.

Andy McScab - Newsletter No 1

Had a call from Brano the other day to help in the search of Magdalena McScam, he’s convinced she is being held in Morocco, although knowing Dicky, he’s very likely launching a cut-price route down here in the New Year and is taking the opportunity of a bit of free publicity. He believes she’s been abducted on the orders of a rich Arab family; sounds to me as though he’s been on the Peruvian Marching Powder!

So far we have had three calls to the international phone hotline, the only problem being that we were giving it some big licks in the bar at the time, so the sightings were left on the answer phone. Yes, you’ve guessed, the whole tape got wiped clean in a drunken stupor when we tried to play it back. Best for Brano not to be told this me thinks.

They only way around it was to wait for the British papers to be delivered down here. The gist was that a blonde-haired, blue-eyed youngster was seen with a 60-year-old Arab woman. The depths some people will go to just to collect a reward. Brano thinks Magdalena was snatched to order from Praia da Luz, on May 3rd by a people trafficking gang…Jackanory…Jackanory…Jackanory.

Last night we had Carlos Anjos of the PJ call us up wanting to know what we were doing in Morocco. Well, I thought it best not to mention the protracted holiday, swimming pools, sightseeing and all night benders, so decided to play it by the book; following up leads, searching ramshackle houses, and interviewing local Ragheads, in short, leaving no stone unturned. It seemed to satisfy him for the time being, but asked to be kept in the loop (whatever the f*ck that is).

Mitch had the ‘artist’s?impression faxed down to us of the bloke with the bundle. ‘Artist? he should be done under the Trade Descriptions Act. Whoever did the sketch must have been p*ssed at the time, my daughter could have done better and she’s only in Year 5!

The hotel Les Jardines, down here in Marrakesh, is not too bad. We are in the Diplomatic Suite, which I thought added a certain irony, being that diplomacy has never been high on the list of The Regiment. Keith reckons that the hotel is named after a French bloke called Les, I don’t buy it myself, bit too obvious. Keith's from Manchester, so therfore not too bright. He’s getting his family and friends to ring the international hotline with different sightings all over the globe, although who ever came up with the ludicrous idea of seeing her outside T K Maxx in the Arndale Centre needed shooting; must be a Man U fan!

Well, better get back to the Hotline, some nutter will call later today, you mark my words!

Amid the sadness of this investigation there are a few moments of humour..

I find the Rebelo fan club a source of a few smiles...

Rebelo with his English/Portuguese dictionary when he took over the command..

Robert Murats eagerness to participate in the reconstruction....This would place him for the entire time, sat in his kitchen with his mum!
What moments have made you smile?

The whole "impersonation of a police officer" press conference and presentation of "Cooperman" episode was totally surreal. I still find it hard to believe that so much of the British press went along with it. Then of course, the discovery of the gun-toting pig farmer and that other guy in Tavira. It was all so embarrassingly ridiculous.

Astro's stories about the sweaty, swarthy men converging on Portimao to audition for the movie and the moustaches one

BREAKING NEWS

All entries into the city of Portimao blocked

It has been reported this morning that all entries into the city of Portimao, where formerly the Criminal Investigation Department of the Policia Judiciaria was located, have been blocked. This action was decided by Portimao's Mayor, who was the first person to receive a warning that thousands of Portuguese men were about to invade the city. These masses had been spotted at approximately 10.20 a.m., and were only yards away from the city's main access roads. Our correspondent in the Algarve was able to report that these men were all overweight, sweaty and open-shirted. They are reportedly 'en route' for a casting that is being held this afternoon in Portimao, to choose the best Goncalo Amaral look-a-like, following rumours that a movie about the McCann case was in preparations.

It is yet unclear whether the candidates will arrive at the casting session on schedule. The session is to be held at 3 p.m., but our reporter was able to confirm that the hordes of swarthy men have now stopped for lunch, and are not expected to be seen outside of their restaurants of choice before 4 p.m., at best. Trucks have been seen unloading cases of wine and whisky in great numbers outside the restaurants, leaving the rest of the Algarve with only a choice of Diet Coke or Orange Fanta for the rest of the day.

The media firm that is responsible for the casting is aware of the huge number of candidates, and stated that "this comes as no surprise; Mr Amaral is a national hero for speaking out against the British imperialists", adding that the fact that his physical attributes are rather common among Portuguese men, prompted thousands to try their luck this afternoon.
The McCanns' spokesman, Mr Pitchall, declined to comment, as he has been having his own fun over other casting possibilities.
Meanwhile, many of the former PJ officers, who have been rendered jobless after the entire police force closed shop last month, have been applying for roles in the upcoming movie, as well. They have been seen boarding EasyJet flights to London, in an attempt to secure their parts as Moroccan childsnatchers, which reportedly are portrayed under a better light than the actual PJ officers. Paulo Rebelo, the last case coordinator, hopes to be cast as Eddie, the cadaver dog, after he was turned down for the role of the missing child's mother, because he reportedly "looks too maternal" to play the prominent part.

Barber shops in the Algarve flooded - hairstylists working 24-hour shifts

Barber shops all over the Algarve have been flooded with customers, who are seeking a 'cleaner' look in order to avoid being named by the McCanns' most recent campaign action. Following the release of a sketch of a suspect in the abduction of Madeleine McCann, last Sunday, by Mr Hitchall, the McCanns' spokesman, Portuguese men all over the Algarve have literally invaded local barber shops, in order to remove any facial hair, and to cut their hair in what can only be described as the New Marine Look. These men fear being mistaken for the individual who is already widely known as 'Toothman', and having their lives ruined by the McCanns' private detectives.

"We are hardly coping", Mr Antonio Pereira, at the Barbearia Ideal, said, adding that he has customers waiting in line outside of his barber shop, since Monday morning. "One of my employees had to be taken away to hospital because of exhaustion. And we have an ecological problem with the tons of hair that we need to dump in the bins", Mr Pereira stated.

The problem of the disposal of tons of human hair was being adressed yesterday by the Minister for the Environment, who called for an emergency meeting in his cabinet this morning. The most recent news indicate that this hair will be packed into containers and shipped to Rothley. "We are considering the possibility of offering the hair and moustaches to the McCann campaign. We think they might be interested in having the hair analyzed for DNA. Who knows what they could find?", an unnamed judicial source confided early this afternoon.

The Movement for the Preservation of Portuguese Traditions is planning a demonstration that will take place outside of the British Embassy later today. Anabela Gomes, the leader of the movement, was outraged about the situation. "Our traditions are being seriously endangered! What will Portuguese men look like, without their moustaches? Do we want our men to look like Mr Pitchall? Wearing pink shirts and pretending they are policemen? I thought the Village People were finished, it seems I was wrong", Miss Gomes stated.

There was no reaction from the extinct Policia Judiciaria to these events. The former agents have been recruited by Metodo 3 in large numbers, as many of them wear a moustache. The most recent informations point to the possibility that several former officers were asked to let their hair grow, and have been sent to Morocco on a secret mission.

Reconstruction was a PR scam .... clarrie's response to independent thesis proving abduction to be an impossibility ... criminal psychologists/profilers thesis televised in several countries.
Really upset poor clarrie !!!

Two photographs on Viv's blog always made me smile .... self appointed smiling celebrity Gerry smartly dressed in front of the White House alongside a photograph of his 'other side' - loss of control, angrily snarling at photographers.

blondeefromthemirror

I've laughed at a lot of the witty comments on here too.

For me the funniest thing Philomena said was when she was dismissing the PJ's competence .She stated that "the policeman who came to do the forensics was only wearing a pair of gloves".

Weird as this may sound - the thing(s) that stick in my mind most are the troll attacks last summer on the MF - especially when the mods couldn't cope - poor AureliusMod !!

What the heck happened to Bert Weedon?..........used to love it when he signed in - it was like "game on" !!!.........poor guy!
Between him and Cat3 and Chair13(aka Stool)....remember when we were all big time PO'd because we thought Chair had been made a mod!!!!......the anorak weekend, football invasion, and the chocolate weekend!!........

None of it was funny at the time - but looking back now - some of the stuff that happened on MF was just hilarious!

The case itself though.....nope, nothing to even smile at there - oh sorry......when the McScams were made arguidos. Priceless.

I think millions laughed when Mrs. Healy said Kate would be trusted more if she were not so flatchested.

I lifted these three, and I'm loath to call them comments, little gems shall I say. I lifted these three gems then from the 3As just prior to it's demise, how I wished I had saved far more.

If the good fairy of literature could not grant me the wish to write as divinely and exquisitely as that dear departed saintly old queen, the darling Oscar Wilde, but instead granted me the same way with words as Professor Moriarty, I don't think I would feel terribly hard done by.

For all his infelicities, Amaral is the the BIG problem for the McCanns.

All this guff about him and against him, right from the kicking off of the Cipriano Case as a kind of Proxy Madeleine case, has been designed - at least, their involvement - to discredit Amaral.

They don't give a flying fck about the Cipriano Case or its victim. They'd much rather it was a more fragrant issue with a less blatantly obvious culprit but, hey, needs must.

The point is they NEED to disable Amaral big time. They NEED to discredit the policeman who oversaw the gathering of evidence which points right at their own two selves and NO ONE ELSE.

The proliferation of paedophiles simply mirrors the proliferation of sightings across Europe and is that ploy's 2009 version. They imagine they can get a good summer out of the paedophile files, hopping from one to another as each one dissipates up their own jacksies.

Still they ARE getting closer to conceding Madeleine is 'most probably dead' and commissioning symphonies and anthems and public sculptures and choral works and Papal masses in her memory.

If ONLY they can screw Amaral to the wall.

As I've said before, and I know I do go on a bit, the fact he was a senior copper in charge of the Madeleine Case STILL caries weight with the general public. And, of course, it carry even more weight IF the general public actually got to see and read what Amaral thinks.

I do believe that if his documentary were shown in the UK, under whatever circumstances; or his book were available in English, here, that the McCanns would have received a serious, serious blow.

They know that too. Hence, they need to 'go abroad' and try to nobble him there before he reaches our shores so to speak.

But he WILL reach our shores. This IS 2009. He is here already, in fact, on this forum and in other places thanks to the internet.

It's just that final physical act of presence which is missing. The McCanns are trying to disable Amaral BEFORE that inevtiable appearance of his views materialises.

This Cipriano affair may well have been their best shot. And it hasn't worked.

Is it any wonder Amaral is driven to distraction by this case? or why the McCanns Etc are so desperate to nail him?
The Vile Paedo Theory presmumes that all one has to do is 'find the paedo', because that's the only item missing.

Of course, we know that, long before you start 'finding the paedo', there's all the other missing bits - like WHY you think there was one in the first place, and HOW you believe one got into and out of the apartment with a living child once he does exist.

And this is the other end of the McCann ruse here - you ust keep watching my left hand waving (the Vile Paedophile), and don't pay any attention to the fact I don't have a fkn right hand at all.

Vile Paedo shifts everything right off the case. Then, it becomes a matter of hounding someone - they tried to fit up a man a few weeks ago, without actually naming him, after their trawl through the files and the mockumentary. But THAT ploy was rumbled, on here and other places, so they've shifted over to Hewlett as Mr Next Likely.

he's just This Week's Villain, the equivalent of Bum Of The Month.

But what it all does is move the attention to an evil person who has all the answers the McCanns refuse to give - why, when and how.

Find the Paedo, they cry, he's the one will answer all those difficult questions. Not us.

Suddenly, then, it's a given that an abduction took place - and here's the paedo suspect to prove it ...

Of course, it's also high risk for them - it brings DEATH into the frame, where it wasn't welcome before.

But since they know the VPs are all fake, they know they won't have to deal with an actual real result of death. So they can have their fatal cake - with all the outrage and horror that attends paedophilia and child-killing - and eat it as well, because they know there will be no actual delivery of that horrible truth.

It's high stakes, yes. And deeply, profoundly, unspeakably immoral. This is the PR of Satan, really. Think about it.

Once again, they are all 'abusing', neglecting, manipulating and abandoning Madeleine.

Because there was NO abductor. There was no Vile Paedophile creeping around - not Hewlett, not his contradictories Bundleman or SpottyMan either.

There was NO abductor. There was NO evidence of abduction.

There was only her parents.

And while I'm at it, let's say this.

Insufficient evidence against her parents is so far removed even from insufficient evidence of an abduction as to be at the other end of the Universe.

Insufficient evidence of abduction is, in fact, yet another item of 'insufficient' evidence against the parents.

Because not only can they not clear themselves beyond doubt. They also cannot prove that anything took place which automatically excludes them from participation.

You'd expect proof of abduction to be a given. Well it aint.

Prof Moriarty
It won't surprise anyone that I'm not buying in to any of that 'the McCanns are winning the PR war' cr*ap.

The McCanns have been 'winning the PR war', such as it is, since Day One. Apparently.

That's what I've been told.

I've seen, what?, three documentaries aired from completely their perspective, one actually funded, scripted by and starring 'As Themselves - The McCanns'.

I've seen a whole string of pukes writing in the daily and weekend papers, from India Knight to Allison Pearson to that gormless wa*nk Parsons and God knows how many arse8holes in between, from Fiona Phliips to that blubby Scots git off breakfast TV, and I haven't seen a single page which could be termed purely 'anti-McCann', in spite of their many protestations that they are being hounded, hated and victimised.

I've seen a few articles merely questioning some key areas of their viewpoint - nothing more severe than that.

And what does all that matter? Absolutely fck all.

Oprah? Absolutely fck all.

You see, every time the McCanns go to air at all now, it's not to 'find Madeleine', it's to clear their name.

It's not the internet which is hounding the McCanns. It's the McCanns themselves. And this isn't some arcane, moral victory I'm talking about. This is the very real outworkings of poisoned minds, poisoned consciences. They have no choice but to go over and over and over again the very areas of dispute in their testimony, endlessly rehearsing the same faulty statements, making small adjustments, squeezing this in and that out ... over and over again.

The huge PR machine they have activated in their defence is endlessly manufacturing wheezes to convince someone, probably themselves, of their innocence.

It is simply not working on people who didn't buy it first time around. The people who DID buy it found that it was quite expensive; and by this stage they would eat shi*te with a knife and fork if it were served to them.

As for the rest? It's a matter of complete indifference. And that's the vast majority of the public.

For what it's worth, I don't believe Amaral's view on the case has been damaged in the slightest. Not in the slightest.

What will happen is that, sooner rather than later, Amaral's views will become public knowledge in Britain and that's the real poison as far as they are concerned. Because THAT is what will finish them.

The Mitchell worldview is one where PR actually substitutes for reality. Problem is, it doesn't.

Buried far below the Mitchell bull8shit is the corpse of Madeleine McCann and the stink of it on her mother's clothes.

That isn't going away. And no one should be under the illusion that th police anywhere have 'parked' the McCann investigation.

The McCanns were involved in their daughter's disappearance. That is the settled opinion of the police. And it will come to the fore. When it does, as it will, strap yourselves in for a catastrophe for British public opinion that will make the expenses scandal look like lollipop-stealing.

So, I'm not swayed by the Sun or the Express or even the Mail, God Bless It, in tis little paragraphs on the McCanns. I've seen them round on bigger fish than the McCanns and eat them alive.

And no one in those papers believes a single fkn word of what the McCanns say in those stories.

Moreover, as long as there is the internet, the McCanns - and the papers - do not control opinion. Remember, it was a forum like this which actually blew the lid on the breaking news from Portugal when it seemed the McCanns would walk away without anyone in Britain even knowing they were under suspicion. The papers tried to block that news. They failed to report it for two months, until finally forced to by the power of posters on the MF.

Fck Mitchell. Fck the press. Fck the McCanns too, for that matter.

The only one I've ever cared about here was the victim. And by any stretch of the imagination THAT has never been any of that fkn lot
.

I loved Cabo frio
I also loved Doobyscoo .
This Satire is the main reason that I joined the old 3as when it was originally called bararguido.

Do you remember?

Diary of a Naive Woman (aged 39 and three quarters)
By Doobyscoo

I have kept copies of the diary. If anyone would like me to copy them, I could copy them to a separate thread as it runs into over 60 A4 pages.
