BBC News Report on McCann John Redwood interviewed...

38 suspects, some from UK , Portugal, other Countries not named. will take a long time and it is hoped this case will be resolved once and for all. McCanns very pleased with the news.

It did not say that. It said that there were 38 persons of interest who were not suspects. And that the McCann s welcomed the move from review to investigation.

I thought Redwood said that, what is the point of interviewing 38 persons from different Countries if some were not suspects I think this is a load of B****hit , more taxpayers money down the drain.

Hi wjk, why have SY gone public, they knew about these so-called "persons of interest months ago, why didn't they investigate them then????

I think they went public to announce the review changing to an investigation.
The rest I think is trying to show where they are up to.
I don't understand why they had to tell us that though, it would of been enough just to say review to investigation.

My understanding is that it is an all inclusive analysis of information
for a purpose of finding a objective result....Therefore, I must be wrong,
SY have asserted, have they not? that they are including, and excluding,
people and matters after their review and well before their investigation
has come to an objective result. Please enlighten me........

Sorry marxman, we don't understand any more than you do why Redwood did not wait until the 38 had been found and either eliminated or charged. He went from 190 to 38 , now we are told some are in the U.K. and some abroad,,,so what the Hell have SY been doing for the past 2 years !!!

Don't forget Panda, it went down to 20 a few weeks ago, so its gone back UP to 38.  

They have to justify 4 million quid somehow.

Its the way we British do things - reach a conclusion and then set up an inquiry to justify that conclusion.

It's in Dutch but from 0.48 Redwood starts, a bit later at 1' it's McCann. The usual blablabla....
