They should have been made to attend a recon comperedna, I also read a long time ago that Oldfield went back to Portugal to alter his statement , probably to change it from going into 5a on his check to listening outside the door.

I simply cannot believe the Met would allow this case to be left 'inconclusive' if they did not first look at the obvious things close to home, so to speak, a second time. They would become a laughing stock eventually.

Unlike some people, I do not object, well not too much, if they go through the motions of checking that which has already been checked, if afterwards they check the more obvious things that genuinely need looking at again, and we all know what they are! Ah... I do object, if I am honest... A lot of what appears to be being done seems to me like a pure waste of time... except that none of us really knows what IS being done, and neither should we... They should just peg on with it. However, if it does turn out that they really are merely going through the motions, and playing at investigation only, I will be enraged at the waste of money.

A lot of people on this site, and other similar ones, unhappily think that what you see and hear from Mr Redwood is exactly what you get... I think a senior man can't be that dumb, and a very small version of a Hillsborough-style cover up is too much of a risk.

Hi comparedna, Redwood doesn't look very intelligent does he and he might just be glorying in his role as spokesman for this very important case.
If , like the McCanns say, he is keeping them informed forget any chance of anything new happening and like you say, get mad at the waste of Taxpayers money. If however, I am mistaken and he is stringing the McCanns along.......why the delay ????
