Tracking Visitors to PDL
Can someone please tell me how they expect to be able to trace everyone who was in PDL in May 2007. People will have gone on package holidays and stayed in hotels, rented villas or apartments from private individuals, rented from the Ocean Club. There is any number of permutations for the hiring of accommodation. How are they going to track it all? Are they going to go through the place and find out who owns what, who rents what out, who they rented it to in May 2007. That's just the people who stayed there for a week or two. What about the people who passed through PDL or went just for the day for a day trip?. Its a task which cannot possibly be completed .

Re: Tracking Visitors to PDL
by their mobile phone data Keela, its easy! always assuming they had mobile phones. always assuming everyone knew who was staying where, but it doesn't really matter because it was burglars what done it. I doubt they would be staying in hotels, apartments, or anywhere else.

Re: Tracking Visitors to PDL
Well, they have never managed to trace the man hurrying through the streets of PDL with the sleeping child in his arms, that was so excellently described in detail by an entire Irish family. In fact the dad was even able to give a name of who he thought it might have been. How much more detail do you want? If they can't even manage to trace anybody from all that, what hope is there for anybody else!

I dare say that with the aid of GCHQ technology they can probably analyse all telephone traffic in the area, but I can't see how that will really help. It won't be able to determine which side of the road Jez was standing on, or whether Tanner actually did walk right passed him as she said. Nor is it likely to identify abducterman or burglarman, even if they had mobile phones.
It is merely generating activity to conceal lack of progress.

Yes, they are definitely generating more heat than light.jassi wrote:I dare say that with the aid of GCHQ technology they can probably analyse all telephone traffic in the area, but I can't see how that will really help. I wonder where they get the 31 suspects from. There are quite a few I agree. Spotty man, big nosed man, swarthy man, eggman. Now swagman is added to the list. But it still doesn't come to 31. Oh Stairwell man, behind the door man, staring at the blacony man.

Re: Tracking Visitors to PDL
The problem Scotland Yard are faced with is that they can only find evidence that points one way. Now we cannot have that can we?!! So they really do not know which way to turn They will come up with anything to keep the gravy train rolling. It's a job.

I do think we need to maintain a sense of humour as well as our good attention to detail.

Re: Tracking Visitors to PDL
I think we all know that SY have no intention to track everyone who set foot in and around PDL at that time.
Once you rule out the main suspects you are giving yourself an impossible task.
They have spent how long and how much ? They got to come up with something so just invent it then blame a Gypo!
The dead Gypo done it.
