Teachers abused online by kids as young as 7

There's no way I would ever go back to teaching in schools now. I feel sorry for young teachers starting out, they have so much more to cope with nowadays.

I have the utmost respect for most teachers today. It's not a job I would take on after hearing the stories from my son's school and his is considered to be a 'good' school.

Even in what was considered a good grammar school in the 1960s there was an element of disruptive pupils who made certain teachers' lives a misery and everybody else in the class suffered too.

It's not a new problem by any means but I suppose that we are more aware of it now.

When I was growing up we were punished with the cane , it hurt , but if I told my Mother she used to say "Well you must have done something wrong".

In such a short time , anything goes these days and we can't turn the clock back to more respected era.
