Yes - his savaging of the shallow musical meeja icons of yesteryear is both justified and enjoyable.

Looking him up on Google was to enter a trackless waste of bombast and cultural aridity that induced a sense of  lowering futility.  There is nothing in Parsons whatever beneath the bombast, just a void.

A small aside - there's a great line in Steely Dan's Cousin Dupree where Cousin Janine lists reasons as to why Dupree is such a turn-off.
