Good will to all

The world of Islam is in turmoil. All the Arab spring did - far from allowing democracy to flourish, is to release the terrorist elements, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood. Iraq was a costly failure, costly in Lives and money. Afghanistan is shaping up to go the same way. Syria is a shambles, and still Assad is in charge. Libya, Egypt, Mali, Somalia Nigeria, the list is almost endless. In every Muslim country, they are at each other's throats, and ours.

Perhaps not every Muslim country. Morocco isn't like that. Morocco is a living example of tolerance, and respect for others and their beliefs. King Hassan the second described Morocco, as a Tree. with it's roots in Africa, Morocco it's trunk, the side branches in the Middle East, and it's top foliage in Europe. They have been conquered and occupied by the Romans, and Phoenicians. among others, modern day warfare has brought a further admixture of blood. Today, it would be difficult if not impossible to track down an indigenous of the place, and why bother?

Moroccans are tolerant of others, in their personalities and beliefs. A Muslim country yes, yet no one pays the Jizya or is killed. No one forcibly converted. No churches burned or suicide bombers. Morocco is living proof that with good will and tolerance we can all live together without blowing the planet to hell.
