Israel yet to react to state TV's claim its jets struck two places, one near Damascus airport, but caused no casualties.

israel has over the last couple years targeted supplies of arms in syria destined for either hezbollah or gaza. if these reports are true likely that'll be the reason why and you won't find many in the west having a problem with that.

Panda, I have edited your title because Israel has been accused of bombing Syria and Aljazeera is not exactly a good source of information on conflicts in the Middle East.

Also, I am sure that Israel does not want to destroy Gaza. For years Hamas sent rockets daily into Israel and it took a long time for Israel to respond.

This video shows the kind of lies are that regularly being repeated in the mainstream media against Israel.

here's my take. if she wanted, israel could wipe out gaza, lebanon, syria et all and not give a fig whatever anyone thought but they haven't. that's called power.

Thanks Iris. Israeli citizens do indeed have shelters because Israel protects its citizens. Gaza is possibly the most heavily bankrolled strip of land on the planet and Hamas can afford the rockets it sends into Israel and to dig dozens of tunnels, but its citizens have no shelters.

They are now saying that 2 Hezbollah agents have been killed, one was a General, and that the weapons were of Iranian origin. Channel 2 News and Al Arabiya are usually quite reliable. Perhaps those evil Israelis who are only interested in destroying Syria and Gaza should have just butted out and let them get on with it.
