Have the terrorists already won?

It's being announced that 600 additional police are to be armed and deployed in and around London. European cities are reacting in a similar fashion. I don't see what else they could do in the wake of the terror atrocities, but it could be argued that the enormous cost of this means that the terrorists have in a sense achieved their goal. If in addition, it prevents anyone from travelling there on holiday, they have a win win.

Over the last 5 years of Tory Liberal misrule, a snippet of news said that hundreds of armed police had been cut in order to save money, so in a sense, they are only putting right what they did wrong before. I do worry that high profile armed police, while serving to reassure the public, may themselves become the target of choice for these twisted murderers. Unfortunately the options are limited, and must by the nature of things be reactive.

Good morning Badboy. I think we would all like to see that, purely and simply because it's the only language they understand. Unfortunately we are far too civilised for that to happen. We put them in jail at enormous cost to the taxpayer, and where they can spread their twisted murderous creed.

The final come on for these killers is if they themselves die in the act of killing infidels or "kuffar" as they call us, then paradise awaits, complete with self regenerating virgins. I sometimes wonder what is on offer for female suicide bombers. What kind of paradise awaits them?
