Kidnap - if without child's consent. Child abduction if with child's consent. Either way it seems an offence has been committed. For these types of cases I always wonder why a parent would remove a child from their absent parent's jurisdiction ie for the safety of the child, fear of violence etc. The law in the uk upholds the parents rights to see a child very strongly, I have known parents being forced by the Court of taking a child to prison to see fathers who have committed the most heinous of offences. Similarly paedophiles arent denied contact but contact usually takes place at a contact centre where it is supervised by another.

I hope the best situation for the child prevails.
