A mother and son were clearing out the Attic of a House the Mother had inherited from her sister. They uncovered a Vase which had been stored there
for years and decided to place in their Local Auctioneers in Ruislip. The Vase turned out to be a very old and rare Chinese Vase and fetched £53 million,
a World record and the Auctioneer got so excited when he banged the Hammer down and said "Sold" that it Broke!!!!!!!!! The actual Price was £43 million but with VAT and Auctioneers Fees the toal was £53million..........some find eh!!!!!!! I was a Chinese buyer who was delighted to have it back in
China.

Yes I was in awe of this - gorgeous vase - but at £53 mil. when the chap got hold of it and tipped it I though jeeze I hope it doesn't break.

It is beautiful though - how are they going to get it back to China safely though - can't imagine - wonder much how the Insurance would be!

How many starving kids would that feed ?

China needs to have a good look at its human rights record.

Its a very well made and pleasant decorative piece.

I do hope they drop it.

Lioned, no Artifact is worth that kind of money. I read a long time ago that World domination will be acheived by Economy, not War and China is
doing just that. However, Governing 6 Billion people takes some doing and at least the Chinese Government has not taken it"s people into two
senseless Wars causing death and destruction , not to mention the monetary cost. The Chinese are inscrutible but will not be bullied into going the
way of the Americans and British, print money rather than save.

It is a gorgeous vase, but who in their right mind would pay £53m for it?! What will they do with it? Even the Crown Jewels on display are, I believe, copies - the real ones are far too valuable to just leave out in plain sight.

I would imagine it will go into some Museum, although I understand there is over 3 trillion Yuans held in savings accounts by the Chinese, mostly
"dirty money, so it might have been sold to a Private buyer. Can you imagine the Mother and Son trying to come to terms with being £43 million
richer??????? the other £10 million was VAT and Auctioneer Fees.
