The ex-wife of Sir Paul McCartney is set to face a disgruntled former nanny at an employment tribunal after failing to reach an out-of-court settlement with her.

Sara Trumble, 25, is claiming unfair dismissal and sex discrimination against Mills, 42 - alleging that she was called upon to perform duties above and beyond her position as childminder.

Trumble was employed to look after Beatrice, the six-year-old daughter of Mills and McCartney - but claims she was expected to start work at 7.30am to blow dry Mills' hair and was forced to work as late as midnight.

She even says she was expected to give Mills naked spray tans.

On her part, Mills is expected to argue that Trumble's role was that of housekeeper rather than nanny - and that she treated her to a Caribbean holiday in gratitude for her support during the divorce from McCartney - which netted her £24m.

She has also suggested that she is seen as an "easy target" because she is famous.
