Fears grow over missing men

Fears are growing for the safety of two Shropshire men who are still missing from their homes.

Martin Robert Heath, 55, who needs daily dialysis treatment to keep him alive went missing from his home in Trinity Street, Belle Vue, Shrewsbury, on Friday.

He was last seen at about 2.30pm that day, less than two hours before he was due to attend the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for treatment.

A nationwide alert has been sent to police forces across the country to look out for Mr Heath.

He is believed to be driving a grey Volvo estate car, registration M815 NNT.

Meanwhile John Marshall, 53, of Kenley, near Shrewsbury, is still missing after leaving his home on March 18. It is thought he might have travelled to London.

There is great concern for Mr Marshall as his disappearance is out of character. He is 6ft 1in tall, of slim build, with olive complexion and short, grey hair. He speaks with a Wolverhampton accent.

Police say that they are concerned about the safety of both men. Mr Heath has various medical conditions and without daily dialysis treatment he could die.

Inspector Martyn Barnes said Mr Heath had been discharged from the RSH on Thursday morning with a view to returning for daily dialysis.

Police have also searched the area around his home and visited places he is known to go to, including the Talbot Inn, Much Wenlock.

They are urging anyone with any information about either missing man to call them on 0300 333 3000.
