Reward of $100,000 to solve disappearance and suspected murder of Linda Suzanne Davie

Minister for Police Michael Daley said the Government would offer a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the suspicious disappearance and presumed murder of Linda Suzanne Davie.
Mr Daley said that officers at Harbourside Local Area Command were investigating the suspected murder of 22 year old Linda Suzanne Davie.
"On April 5th 1980, Linda went to The Manzil Room in Kings Cross with a friend - where two men attempted to pick them up, and later dropped Linda and her friend home," he said.
On April 6th, Linda visited her boyfriend at the Royal North Shore Hospital. She returned to a shared house in Wollstonecraft but Linda has not been seen since this time.
"On April 10th, Linda's boyfriend received a letter saying that she would be away until the following week - she was never seen again.
"Police believe that the two men who drove Linda and her friend home from Kings Cross, may have information vital to the investigation.
"Police would also like to speak with witnesses who came forward in 1980.
"No price can be placed on getting justice for Linda - however I do hope that the $100,000 reward might encourage anyone with information to come forward.
"The Davie family deserves closure, Linda deserves justice, and those responsible deserve to be behind bars," Mr Daley said.
