Hopefully this will lead to some sort of justice to Mr Tomlinsons family .Pc Harwood should not IMO be serving in the police on appearance he comes over as a out and out bully boy.

Police officer to be charged with Tomlinson killing
By FT reporters

A police officer is to be charged with killing Ian Tomlinson at the G20 protests two years ago after a dramatic U-turn by Britain's director of public prosecutions.
Relatives of Mr Tomlinson reacted with delight as Keir Starmer, director of public prosecutions, said there was now a realistic chance of a manslaughter prosecution against Simon Harwood.
The prosecutor, who last year dismissed criminal charges, changed his mind after reviewing new medical evidence and an unlawful killing verdict by an inquest jury.

I'm at a loss to know why this manslaughter charge has taken so long ,but at least things are moving now and hopefully mr Tomlinsons family will see justice done nothing can replace a lost family member taken in this way but at least we can hope this policeman will be held to account, the police do not need the Simon Harwoods of this world in their ranks .IMO.

Let's hope he receives the justice he so richly deserves and also the so called medic who announced to the world that Mr Tomlinson's death was not as a result of any actions by the police. Dr Patel,...how many other deaths caused by brutality and have been covered up by this quack?

Morning Malena,
There will always be a few bad apples in a barrel but the kind of behaviour by so-called "protest groups " would test any Policeman"s temper. the black
mask protesters at the recent protest over cuts were disgusting and the Police caught right in the middle of it. Water Cannon would have helped, I
felt ashamed to be British watching the destruction.
BTW Welcome back, hope you enjoyed your holiday.

The police do have a hard task but they are their own worst enemies. They treat arrogance and stupidity as virtues, employing college graduates without one iota of common sense, feed them testosterone dress them in flak jackets and expect reople to respect them....wrong!!! .
